TLK Apartments & Hotel

As a family of 5 we had two rooms: 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. In the downstairs room you have to keep the blinds closed 24/7, because you have 0.0 privacy when you open them. A large window through which people walk by day and night and look in. The noise starts early in the morning. The general smoking area was right in front of our door, and people found it necessary to use it 24/7 and we could literally hear every cozy or less pleasant conversation. Whether it was 11 p.m. or 4 a.m. You also hear doors banging about 24,000 times a day. Don't worry, after a week (if you manage to stay that long) you will hardly hear it anymore because then you have already gone crazy.
In the room upstairs you have more privacy, but you can't hear each other talk because of the road right next to the room. There's a tunnel that tough guys love to drive through with their tough but noisy cars. The staff ranges from uninterested to friendly. The area is lively, but I can imagine you can feel uncomfortable there alone at night. It's not all that terrible. Compared to other London hotels, I found the room itself quite good (except for the lack of privacy if you want some sunlight in) and clean (by London standards). The location is quite far outside the city center, but quite easily accessible by train. St Mary Cray train station is within walking distance, and Orpington Station just a few minutes with the bus, and will take you to London Bridge, Waterloo, Victoria and Charing Cross stops for £4.5. Opinions are divided about the quality of the beds, but I think they are fine. There is an Aldi and Lidl within walking distance so you can do your shopping quite cheaply. Unfortunately, there is only a toaster and microwave so that will be eating potato waffles and microwave meals during your stay. In summary: It's not very bad, but certainly not good either. If you go here with low expectations, it's probably not that bad.

It was ok, because we only needed a room to sleep. Because most of the time we were out. The first night slept really bad. Next door had the music loud and you could hear everything they said. The room could be more comfortable if in the room there was a mirror. The bathroom was spacious, and had hot water. The bed wasn't to bad, but the pillows very flat. But when I asked for 2 extra pillows at the reception, they were very kind.
Had no problems with the parking, but the road is very, very narrow. The price was very reasonable.

Booked for my daughter and her friends. Girls were horrified and frightened. Arrived late at night. Room walls were dirty. Bed bugs found in bed (room 110). Cannabis use in other apartments. Had to find alternative accommodation.

The best rooms available in the area and they are just OK. Hotel costs are getting ridiculous and then can't get a good nights sleep because of people banging doors playing music and laughing in corridors. Was serenaded by madness baggy trousers at 11pm. Seems people have no respect or have forgotten they have rooms which they charge people to SLEEP in.

Room was a nice size, very clean and it was quiet, I slept really well. The heating was warm and the clean ensuite had a real bath! There was a fridge and microwave, perfect for me.

Really really incredibles!! First at all I booked this hotel 5 days before arriving, and when we come to the reception, the guy wasn’t even look like receptionist , wearing tracksuit, and talking to us not professionally! And we spent one and half hour, because he can’t find main key from room, manager didn’t pick up the phone, other colleagues doesn’t know where the key are! After one and half hour manager call back to receptionist and all conversations what she have with receptionist we can hear it. Really unprofessional, we book that hotel to stay because of ours business meeting and on the end they make us to book different hotel.
I can’t imagine to say my area manager sorry I don’t have key I can’t come to my office today.
I’m waiting for full refund and next time
When we will have business meeting I’m definitely not booking this “hotel” anymore!!

Bathroom door frame damaged and the door which the hotel are charging us for when the damages were there before we arrived by the look of it. My partner closed the bathroom door and couldn't open it. Had to use force fo open it. Mould on In the shower and sides not cleaned with proper chemicals.

STAY AWAY! SCAM!🤢🤮 My Husband, Children and I booked a room on December 21 -23rd. Biggest mistake. We traveled 12 plus hrs from Germany. We arrived around 1 am in the morning. When we walked into the room it was the most disgusting place I’ve ever seen. The bathroom was completely disgusting 🤮. It appeared it had not been cleaned in a very long while. The floor was full dirt and had clearly not vacuumed, the walls were dirty. We were repulsed by the condition of the room. We IMMEDIATELY walked out and spoke to the gentleman at the front desk and asked for a refund. He stated he could not give a refund until we spoke to management. We have been given the run around for a week and management refuses to speak to is via telephone and refuses to give us a refund. We were so disgusted. TOTAL SCAM. The rooms look nothing like the pictures they have posted online. RUN! Management is a total joke. Unprofessional! They have handled the situation very poorly. This is the worst customer service experience we’ve ever had. Please read other reviews regarding the condition of the place which I fell to do when booking this place. I will be posting on other platforms and travel pages for people to stay away from this place.
