Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin

Hotel was clean and beautiful, really well located to be able to walk around Clifton and into Bristol City Centre. I asked for a room facing the Suspension Bridge and although I was told that this was extra £, the staff still put us in a room facing the bridge! During our trip my travel bag ripped along the bottom and Jarosha on reception kindly helped stitch it back up for me so I didn't end up dropping my clothes all over the street on the way home. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We returned to the hotel to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of my son and daughter in law’s wedding which took place in Bristol, and the Reception held at the Avon Gorge.
The improvements and changes to the hotel are fantastic, and what a difference they make. The rooms are first class, the dining experience wonderful, but most of all, the customer service is brilliant. We were so well looked after, and we couldn’t fault the team from Reception Desk to Dining Room staff, and the super management of the whole hotel. This hotel should be rated as 5 Stars. We have stayed in many top rated hotels in the UK and worldwide, and this hotel deserves the best accolades. Many thanks for providing a most fantastic and memorable experience to celebrate this special occasion which our whole family enjoyed to the full.

First of, let me just say how blown away I was with the views from this hotel. My family and I stayed at the suit Perrier Jouet and had an entire garden and balcony overlooking the clifton suspension bridge and surrounding areas. We enjoyed hanging out there and having a meal together in the Privacy of the balcony.

The rooms were nice and spacious, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast although not too continental was fine. We enjoyed our stay here and hugely recommend it.

Our new go to hotel in the Bristol area. Ignore the old-fashioned exterior - inside is a very modern hotel with clean, spacious rooms (even the "classic" rooms are quite roomy), light-filled bathrooms with overhead shower, and views on offer of the gorge and bridge. Couldn't have been more satisfied.

Only went to the restaurant. Food was great 👌👌, service great. View were stunning we had a corner table. Sunday set menu: Cured sea trout starter was delicious, and then 3 of us had the roast, 2 x beef, one had pork which was a huge portion ...all perfectly cooked. I had the hake - beautifully cooked and the accompanying veg was wonderful. Service top notch, not over attentive, but always there when needed, plus we were given time to enjoy the meal. Finished with a free glass of bubbly for my birthday! Perfect

Beautiful hotel. Christmas decorations were lovely. Room very clean and comfortable. Staff very polite / attentive. Breakfast was perfect with a lovely view of the suspension bridge. Outstanding! Will be back soon.

Location is amazing. Views of the suspension bridge in the outdoor area. Great options on the menu. The masaman beef lacked flavour but the fish and chips were a huge hit. Especially loved the homemade tartar sauce!

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Avon Gorge Hotel, severally and I have to say, it is exceptional experience during each visit. The hotel itself is a stunning Victorian-era building with breathtaking views of the Avon Gorge. The location is perfect for those looking to explore the city of Bristol, as it's just a short walk from the Clifton Suspension Bridge with a view of the bridge from the bar.
The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my stay was enjoyable.

The highlight of my stay, however, was the hotel's restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with a menu that featured a variety of local and seasonal ingredients. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was cozy and intimate.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Avon Gorge Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Bristol.
