Rosemary -the voice of the business - is an amazing host and with the rest of the staff -whom all are incredibly friendly, professional and efficient- running an absolutely beautiful hotel / restaurant! Our room overlooked the church and it was incredibly tastefully decorated , spacious, comfortable! The dinner in the restaurant was one of the best meals we ever had in the UK and it was very busy despite being a Tuesday and stormy weather,so you must book a table even if you don't stay at the inn you should come and eat here! breakfast was just as good as dinner plentiful and delicious! Overall this place is a must when in Painswick or not, it's worth to travel to! Simply perfect and we will be back!

It took an hour to receive my food after I asked to check on it twice, the first time no one even came back to me. When I eventually received the burger was lovely the fries waaay to salty served on a small bread board like they did 20 years ago which when you have a large burger is rubbish it goes everywhere.

Clearly a nice place with some service issues and a chef that doesn't taste his own food.

Excellent food and great service.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal there tonight. The menu has a good variety of interesting food for vegans and carnivores alike!
Overlooking the likes of skate wing, pork loin and vegan Wellington, I went for the burger with cheese and a "bacon jam", which was one of the tastiest burgers I have ever had. Superb.
Nice to enjoy a reasonably priced flight of wines too, and the service was friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. Certainly recommended.

Went for Sunday lunch and throughly enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and attentive, nice decor too. Like the option of the nibbles or a starter. The figs with Parma ham were delicious.

Plenty of choice on the menu. Beef was excellent, cooked rare and a good portion. My only criticism would be that everything on the plate had some added flavour to it spoiling the balance of the meal. All extremely tasty on their own, but a bit much/rich as a meal.

Look forward to trying the standard menu.
Would be nice to see another local ale rather than just the one.

Really not very good. Many of the menu items weee not available , second choices then also came back as unavailable.wine choice also not available. Duck breast, third choice on the menu ,was was tiny. Two of us had this and it looked like a single breast shared between us.

Ultimately it was a poor experience that did not represent value for money.

Update, thanks for the reply on here. It is a shame you have been unable to respond to the email that I sent.

This was one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. The children’s food was served cold and seemed like it was out of a can. The lasagna was watery and served in large cup, which made it impossible to eat. The
“homemade” was cold and served from a store package. It took about an hour to receive the food, which was cold and terrible quality. Would not recommend.

Eaten at the Falcon a few times in the past. But this was the best dining experience, one of the best burgers I have ever had. Good rooms, great location

Just returned from having lunch out with friends at this premises. I had the two six ounce burgers topped with cheese,my wife had the fish and chips. Both meals were absolutely terrific. I've not tasted such burgers, slightly spicy to the point where you crave for the next mouthful. Ok the chips portion were a little on the light side but adequate! My wife's fish batter was so light she said it was the best she'd tasted in years.
Puddings were good as well.
The seating in the front eating area was warmed by a log fire and after lunch I just wanted to curl up to go to sleep. Staff were polite and cheerful. We'll go again when in the area.area.
