The hotel has recently changed hands and it is clear they are trying hard to upgrade the rooms and counter some of the poor reviews from the former owners. We had no complaints at all, and Jack on reception was polite and helpful.
There are no frills but for a budget hotel it is clean, nice facilities and a big car park.

Good for central Wolverhampton, away from the town centre. Parking at the rear, which isn't easy to access due to the skip in the entrance.
The hotel is currently being renovated - it looks as though it's been an ongoing process for some time - and no food is available. They didn't even have decaff coffee or hot chocolate.

Early check in costs £25, which I thought excessive, but check in is open 24 hours so it didn't matter anyway.

The room was large, the bed was huge (super king?) and very comfortable. An extra pillow for him who needs one.

Bath / shower /loo: the water was hot. The shower wasn't the most powerful, but it was hot and did the job. Nice large fluffy towels too.

So all good so far. Cons: no local breakfast available on a Sunday. Reception kindly recommended a local cafe (far side of petrol station, if you're there during the week) but we can recommend the Limes Cafe if you've got time to drive a couple of miles - excellent full English).

I appreciate that the hotel is being renovated, but it already looks tired inside, the heated towel rail in our bathroom was hanging off the wall, and there was debris from a broken tile near the toilet. The newly painted walls were already scuffed and dirty in places in our room, and the lift is prehistorically slow. The noise in the corridor was also excessive: noisy until nearly 2am- if you're going to charge me nearly £100 a night, I expect slightly more.

Listen - don't stay here. The whole hotel needs to be revamped. When you enter, you are met by aromas that resemble that of your local Weatherspoons and an old person's home. The reason you can smell this is because the hotel doesn't have any air conditioning - so sleeping here during a heatwave proved very difficult. The room itself wasn't bad - however the whole hotel is located in a very weird area and attracted some delinquents who kept me up all night with their current life dramas. Parking isn't the easiest to find and check out is way too early at 10.30am! The only thing good about this stay was the staff who were really nice.

The hotel did not advise on the website it was under construction

The basic facilities as the toilet in the room did not work.

The lift did not work either

Staff need training on customer service

For the price paid for the room expected better

Due to these factors should not expect customer to pay £90 for double room with no breakfast included plus check out by 10.30am.

We booked for 2 nights we get there and it's having a refurb does not mention this on website very disappointed plus no bar or food being served
Room was OK to sleep in that is tv didn't work no channels at all. Best bit was the toliet seat didn't fit was smaller then the toliet itself
Shower was well to hot took 10 minutes to get it right then you slip all over because there is no slip mat very dangerous. Overall very disappointed!!

We were given a double bed instead of 2 singles as per our online booking. The chap on reception organised and cleaned a new room for us.
The new room had big damp patches on the wall and the channels didn't work on the smart TV.
The hotel looked run down and in the middle of repairs/renovations.
Definitely won't stay there again

Stayed to attend a local baby shower approx 5 mins away.
Room was unclean, used red disposable razor in shower next to soap holder covered in someones hair.
Holes in the curtains
Dirty sink

Weren’t expecting anything special, just a clean room for a cheap local stop.

As we arrived around 6/7pm and had to be back out by 8pm we advised the reception staff before leaving back out - we were advised a manager would be in contact, there was no offer to send someone to the room, no exchange of room offered.

We arrived back early hours the following morning and nothing had been done, we had to then checkout to go to Manchester and there was no discussion by staff upon leaving.

From Saturday to Wednesday afternoon no call - so I called the hotel to chase the matter up, to which the owner was extremely vile, no acknowledgement of the issue, continued to interrogate me and ask questions but proceed to cut me off mid sentence. He kept advising there would be no refund - yet I had not requested a refund the entire call, I asked for acknowledgment, I wanted a sincere apology.

Completely incapable of providing basic customer service.

Unhygienic and dirty.

Keep the £60 I’m more than okay.

Never again.

We stayed there last night. yes there are limited facilities as Best Western are getting to grips with the shortcomings. There was a bar available but no food. The room was spotless. the tempratures were freezing but the room was warm and the heating was on. For somewhere to lay your head for the night we couldnt fault it. Having read all the bad reviews we were dreading it but to be honest it was fine.
