Absolutely lovely dinner this weekend! We popped in Saturday evening hoping to eat outside with our dog and were not disappointed. We had a stunning view of the castle and much to our surprise the train track too!
We enjoyed the best meal of our holiday with sharing nachos, chicken burger and one of the day’s specials, crispy goats cheese salad. The food was excellent and we were only sad we had no room for dessert.
Lovely team who served us and very good with our dog too. She loved the fuss!
We look forward to coming back soon.

Had a delicious meal in a glorious setting. One way looking at Corfe Castle ... The other seeing and hearing the Steam Train on the Swanage Railway. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend a visit.

Stopped for Dinner last night with my friend whilst staying across the road, the food was delicious, hot and fresh, we were both saying best fish and chips we've had! They were really accommodating letting us sit outside and literally the nicest staff, so friendly. We will return for sure. Highly recommend.

A delicious meal and a wonderful nights stay. We had a wonderful time here. The rooms are very comfortable and the whole place is just a wonderful place to be. Our food was so tasty - I would recommend the creme brulé!! The service as always was impeccable. Always love coming here.

Although we've passed it hundreds of times over the years, we've gone in several times recently. Main attraction was the Palmers 200 beer! (a local brewery)
The staff are v pleasant & the food always looks / smells good; we're promising ourselves a meal here when time permits.
As a small bonus, the village store next door is v well provisioned with alcohol (particularly gin) AND I found a large btl of Drambui there, which, if you've tried buying 1 recently, you'll know is quite a find!

The Bankes Arms Hotel is a truly magical place. It's a short walk to Corfe Castle, and the village square. The breakfast was included, and it was easily the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. We stayed in the Mary Bankes Suite, which was incredibly cozy. My wife discovered there is a view of the castle from a small bathroom window. I peeked out at it first thing every morning. We went in early December, which must be the off season, as Corfe Castle village seemed all but empty. Yet with fresh snow and frost everywhere I couldn't imagine a more picturesque time to visit. It was a perfect holiday in the English countryside. I couldn't recommend the Bankes Arms Hotel enough. Thank you to all the staff there that made our stay so MAGICAL.
