I had a wonderful stay at the new white lion last week. The place is really elegant and stylish. My bed was super comfortable, and the shower was good and strong. Breakfast was delicious. It was a great base to explore the gorgeous hills and lakes of the Brecon Beacons. I would highly recommend this as an upmarket stay very close to lovely welsh countryside.

This was a first class experience from the minute we arrived. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was beautiful and immaculately kept. Food and drinks were five star. It was a great way to start our Welsh trip. The owner, Sherell, is a charismatic woman who charmed us with some interesting tales from 'out of Africa' ... only wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our 2night stay on the hottest days of the year The welcome was lovely from the moment we arrived. Sherell was attentive and informative throughout our stay. Our room was beautifully clean thanks to Sherell's fabulous staff The room was beautifully decorated. quirky and individual.The shower was fantastic and used many times due to the heat! My wife and I had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel. Sherel was a super friendly and welcoming host. She catered to all of our needs and you can tell she really cares about making her guests feel like they are at home.
The room itself is a good size yet really cosy with all the expected amenities. The hotel lounge is also really cosy and has a unique self-service bar. The decor and furniture are truly stunning and brings a lot of character to the hotel.
Breakfast was delicious and well presented. I had the full English option and my wife had a Kenyan inspired option which was super tasty.
Would recommend to others and will definitely stay again!

This gorgeous Hotel is beautifully and uniquely decorated with no detail left for granted, right down to the ornate heirloom silver you will dine with even for your outstanding breakfast! And just a hint, make sure you have Sheréll's home made specialty breakfast the last morning of your stay. It's the only one of its kind and you won't be disappointed! We stayed for 2 nights in the Viccar Prichard room decorated with gorgeous antiques that tell some history and an amazing comfortable bed!!! Sheréll, we miss you already but we'll be back again soon. Such a warm and welcoming entrance to a beautiful unique hotel! The room had been carefully furnished with quality antiques. The host was thoughtful but not intrusive. The breakfast was not the usual fast food and standard fare but you could have almost anything you asked for - breakfast food that is!. An overall excellent experience. A great bed to sleep in and a quiet setting to rest in.

5 stars and more! It was a pity that we only spent a night at this fabulous and truly unique hotel. This lovingly decorated hotel exudes a truly homely ambience, and the amazingly friendly and attentive hostess made us feel like we were friends staying over rather then hotel guests. We stayed at the William Williams room decorated with antique furniture and a very comfortable bed. We highly recommend the special breakfast which reflects the hostess's own family history! Amazing property and incredible host! Absolutely loved our two nights at the new white lion. The place is decorated to the nines with beautiful antiques with a really cosy living room and honesty bar. Our room was stunning which had an en suite jacuzzi bath, the perfect place to relax after attempting to climb Pen Y Fan. Sherell provided great company, conversation and food with an enormous amount of attention to detail and care. Would highly recommend the property and will certainly be going back. Tom & Maria x
