Never had an issue here in all of the times I've been here. I've had many nice meals over the years. My visit this weekend was my first in a couple of years due to moving out of the area...
I wasn't too impressed with the choice of food on the menu to be honest. It just seems so basic compared to previous visits and hardly any of it sounded appealing.
I can't award less than 4 stars purely because I've had so many good evenings/nights here. Maybe they'll improve their food menu again in the future. I'll be back when I'm back in Bridgend, but won't come here for food if the menu hasn't improved.

The starter was lovely but it all went downhill from there. My main arrived but had to wait over 15 minutes for the veg and another 5 minutes for the gravy. I was served the wrong desert. Firstly they tried to say I had ordered it before admitting they had supplier issues. Finally, I was expected to drink wine from a tumbler as there were no wine glasses left. It was like an episode of Faulty Towers and not a good one at that!

Nice family and friends get together place to celebrate and enjoy good food. For the traveller nice and comfortable night's sleep, the bed was comfortable and clean bedding.

I had lunch in the Masons to day, very friendly welcoming pub, restaurant as ways ,food is of a very high standard. We had a fresh lasagne, my friend had a braised beef in red wine jus, melted in the mouth, glass of Merlot, finished with a coffee. A real treat

I went here for Sunday lunch with my family. There isn't much parking on site so plan ahead if you're going at a busy time. The food was nice, it was the Sunday menu so it was mostly roasts, they had gluten free options as well as vegetarian options on the menu. Prices for mains were upwards of £12.95 and deserts were £6.50. The sticky toffee pudding was gluten free and came with a choice of cream custard or ice-cream. The staff were friendly and accommodating for my allergies which is always appreciated. Will definitely be going back.

Had a drink here on Christmas day as the fox and hounds was closed,
Barman was working hard as three deep in customers, got served quickly, and he said first drinks free.
Absolutely brilliant. I will definitely be back soon
Merry Christmas guys 🎅👍

A lovely meal reasonably priced. Would have been five stars with real chips
