I was 'upgraded' to a club room having complained of noise one of the nights I stayed there. The rooms are basically the same no different. I have stayed in many Village Hotels elsewhere and the club rooms (even standard) are modern, with tech and clean. Village Hotel Swansea is dated and run down. There is no water, no fridge, no safe, no satellite TV (even in club rooms). The rooms are dirty, the showers are dirty, the rooms are dusty... I could go on. The staff are very helpful but the cleaning is very poor. For the money I paid I expected better. I could have stayed at another hotel close by but chose Village because of my experience with other locations. I would not return or recommend Village Hotel Swansea at all!!!!

Stayed for two weeks and had a very poor experience. In my first room the aircon and windows were both broken, after asking mutliple times I was moved to a new room which was directly next to the gym and therefore I was woken with loud dance music at 6.30am most mornings (not sure why this is acceptable in a hotel). One evening (2.30am) the fire alarm went off and I witnessed a very poorly organised evacuation which was extremely concerning. Some staff during the stay were great and others were rude and unhelpful. Rooms and corridors looking very tired and desperate need of repair. The hotel needs a complete overhaul, only good thing is it's location.

Lovely hotel, rooms are spacious and the bathroom is a decent size too. Only downsides were a couple of bulbs not working and for some reason we had no TV remote either so had to use the button on the TV. Would still recommend staying here though, better than premier inn or travelodge.

The staff were lovely but the room was pretty bad for the price. Dirty and damaged walls, doors and even the bath. Read a lot of reviews complaining about used cups left in the room and had the same experience. Air con stopped working, got really hot in the room. Our TV however worked well. Bed was very comfy and pool was nice, but the jacuzzi was out of access. Also paid £3 for a small bottle of coke

We stayed over the weekend for one night. Luckily only for one night. The quality of the room was very poor. Dust everywhere, especially on the desk where the coffee sachets were. I will try to attach photos here if I can. It's filthy. There was no working fan in the toilet. The window was broken can't shut properly. The wind blew it making flappy noise through the whole night. There was no phone in the room. We called the reception using mobile, but no one answered. The duvet cover was put in a wrong way, that shortside part was empty, and longside was not in the cover. The whole thing was a mess completely. We have never stayed at the place like this at all. We will never stay at this place anymore and would not recommend anyone to stay here either.

I did not score for the room as I did not stay. I was only calling in for a quick coffee. It was one of the biggest must I have seen with a good quality coffee. Very clean and tidy with a good atmosphere.

The most disappointing experience I've had in a village hotel. I'll start this off by saying I've stayed in village hotels a few times in the past and never had an issue, I've stayed in this one once in 2019 and had a great time... Unfortunately i couldn't say the same this time.

Nowhere on any booking emails did they state what time check in was, so I checked the website which said 3pm, so I arrived at 2:30 and asked if there was any chance of checking in a little early, I was told I'd have to pay extra as check in was 4pm? This is the latest check in I've ever seen anywhere, I overheard other customers who were surprised by the late check in times and they weren't told either. Due to this there was a lot of us just hanging around in the foyer waiting to check in for 1.5hrs.

When we finally checked in, we had been given a wheelchair access room, which meant everything was very low down. The room looked sub-par, the bed wasn't made just pulled back. There was also a picture of stairs on the wall?? A little cruel to put in a wheelchair access room isn't it?
The lift to that floor was also out of order; the room was on the second floor but the lift only stopped on 3 and above, good job I don't use a wheelchair eh?

The breakfast the next morning was bland and boring. No hash browns either!

I didn't feel like I could bring any of this up at the time because I'd only paid black Friday prices for the room, and felt that this would be brought up if I'd complained about anything.

Honestly, I've never had a bad experience with village hotels in the past, they're usually my choice of hotel whenever I go away for a weekend. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and honestly feel like I had this bad experience just because I didn't pay full price.

Didn't stay the night, only here for a function, but definitely the worst vegitarian and vegan options I've seen in a long time. Very disappointing.

That being said, the staff and security were fantastic on the night.
