Hotel Commodore

We brought friends for dinner here with high hopes. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed. The bar/ waiter was extremely helpful & friendly. But the restaurant was empty and quiet, no background music & cold. The food was very nice thought. We thought maybe we should have sat in the lounge area but again it was empty & the TV was showing sport.

Room tired looking, needs a refurb in bathroom and very worn in bedroom (might have won 4in a bed in 2017 definitely would not win now) bed very hard and pillows flat no comfort at all, service fine food basic but we'll cooked. Our room was over a bar had music and loud noise till 2am first night and 1.30am second night will not be going back.

I have visited the Commadore many times now but only ever stayed here twice the staff are always friendly and the service is good I wanted to give a 5 star review but unfortunately the young lad at breakfast who served me desperately needs a foot up his arse when folks pay good money to stay at a hotel they dont expect to be grunted at by waiting staff who have less enthusiasm than a dead sloth if id have asked for another round of toast i think it might have tipped him over the edge.

Lovely place to chill went to a Caribbean night last night and thoughly enjoyed it. Curry's were way too hot and couldn't eat the buffet so had to fill up on 2 pudding Friendly staff

I can honestly say the managerss is the rudest and most spiteful person who runs a business I have ever encountered. She not only embarrassed me In front of customers and staff then asked me to leave as the council were watching her getting paid tax payers money to house Ukrainian families. I àppreciate that fact but for someone like her and her rude staff to gain from there poor plight seems beguiling to me. So i asked the local town folk and a few Ukrainian refugees what they thought and it seems a common trend. She and her staff who hide behind the partition are exactly what I said.

I can’t say enough good things about Hotel Commodore. It was my first time visiting Wales and I stayed at this hotel. I had an amazing experience. My room was so lovely. It was nicely decorated, clean, and the bed was super comfy. The managers and staff were so friendly and attentive. Harry, the bartender, always made excellent drinks. And I have to give a big shout out to the owners, Andrea and Rohan Murdock, who were very pleasant and just overall nice people. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay! I truly recommend Hotel Commodore to anyone who is visiting Wales. You won’t regret it.

We booked a night here for my friends wedding and was very impressed by how helpful and thoughtful the lady was when I phoned to book. The stay was fantastic, we had a beautiful, clean and lovely decorated room. A lovely comfortable bed. It had a huge plus from us as it had a proper coffee maker. We didn't eat in as we were at the wedding, but was very impressed with the menu on offer and the food looked amazing. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay.

Stayed there for a week. Rooms are very individual and quirky, building has been restored beautifully. Breakfast was good and the staff was attentive. Outdoor seating area could use more supervision and the towels, although clean are not soft.
