Had a lovely stay in this shabby chic gothic like hotel. The owner, manager and all the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially to our dog, Archy 🐩
Our rooms were spacious, bright and clean. There was a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and nice grounds to walk Archy. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here recently for a corporate event, the team at Baskerville Hall were brilliant and bent over backwards to cater for us and our early starts. The hotel grounds and scenery were amazing! Highlight of the trip definitely has to be the grand re-opening of the famous Baskerville disco!

We would definitely stay here again!

The towel in the bathroom was dirty and used. On the bed two towels are new (washed)and clean. Warmwater in the shower, after 10 minutes with no pressure.
I hope the dinner gets better.

This once top of the range country house hotel now resembles a residential centre.
Decor has probably not been upgraded since the 1980's with peeling wallpaper in general areas, no full lighting in the hall and staircase after dark. Swimming pool facilities looked unsafe and changing areas looked to be rotting.
The bedroom was comfortable and clean but there was no way of locking the room from the inside, one curtain did not draw and the toilet took more than 5 minutes to fill and re-flush.
Bill for 2 nights B&B was £300 so the above does not reflect the hotel as advertised.

For a place I've wanted to go to since young, I was NOT disappointed! David and the team are an absolute joy and couldn't possibly of done anything more to make our stay better. The surrounding area is beautiful and the gorgeous town of Hay-on-Wye just a 5 mins drive away.

Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and the food quickly served and VERY good. Rooms very clean, tea/coffee making facilities present and plenty of extra pillows and blankets.

There are plenty of outdoor activities to do e.g. quad biking, canoeing, hiking etc and regular music festivals, weddings, reunions.

We had an amazing time and I look forward to going back again. Oh and for the ghost hunters? Plenty to see 😉

Great service, warm and comfortable, friendly atmosphere, quirky decor.
Vegan food, different meal every evening (not none, or the choice of 2 for the whole stay as at other places), expertly prepared
Great coffee.

What a gorgeous hotel and grounds, steeped in history.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, as was the owner.
Particularly loved the heated indoor pool and that you can book a private 1 hr slot.
Rooms comfortable. Nice hot breakfast with cold options available too.
Very reasonably priced and convenient location.
Lovely little surprise that there was a community live music session on the Wednesday night which I really enjoyed joining in for a chorus or two!
