Lovely hotel. My daughter and I stayed in a twin executive room with a sea view. Toiletries, robes and tea and coffee facilities were provided. Both days we had a more than adequate breakfast in the hotel and one evening we ate in the hotel dining room and the second evening we ordered room service. The food did not disappoint and the service was professional and friendly. All staff deserve praise for making our stay enjoyable.

I stayed here on a last minute booking after a day of bad weather walking the Wales Coast Path. The single room was clean and warm and had views of the castle and sea. The hotel is in an ideal spot and the views from the dining room are outstanding.

The staff were very welcoming, despite me turning up like a half drowned rat and they offered the use of a drying room.

A had a delicious evening meal and cooked breakfast. The staff were very accommodating with me wearing only (clean) socks as my only shoes were soaking wet. Recommended.

The hotel location is perfect with free parking in front of the hotel. The rooms were superb, very well presented, clean and well stocked. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating especially with an elderly relative who had special requirements. We had both breakfast and evening meals each day. The food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to you as a base to explore the Llyn Peninsula.

We were a party of 9 golfers staying for 2 nights b&b. We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and on one evening we ate in the restaurant and the food was incredible, everyone of us had a wonderful meal. Highly recommend this hotel and will be back again

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here although our experience was mixed. We stayed in room 28, which is located at the rear of the hotel with a view of back yards and the railway line. This isn't the hotels fault but if you can, book in advance and get a room with a better view... there are plenty of them. The room was described as a large double. We both think this only refers to the bed size, which looked to be a super king. The room itself was not large although sufficient and very tastefully decorated throughout. The mattress was marvellous... not too soft and yet firm enough to support your back. Very impressive and we want one! The bathroom was well cleaned although there is some evidence of old mould in the shower cabinet (small) that someone has grouted over rather than cleaning out which was a shame. Tea and coffee making facilities were adequate although a bit basic. Oddly, one of our main gripes was the lack of decent WiFi. The hotel does have WiFi and we did manage to connect on the first night but the connection continously dropped and took ages to come online again. We raised the issue twice but no joy. When we mentioned it the 2nd time with reception, we were told "well no-one has mentioned it before." In reality, the WiFi signal is very weak and room 28 is set at the very back of the hotel but all they need to do is add a few boosters around to resolve this. We had to resort to using a mobile hotspot.

The bar, lounge and dining room are all recently and beautifully decorated with some real style. We had 2 lovely breakfasts and the quality of offerings was good. The fruit was fresh, there was a good selection of cereals and the cooked options were very tasty. The croissants were beautiful.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. A 4 star hotel? Difficult to say that but it only loses a star because the room didn't quite match what we expected and lack of WiFi was a pain. The rest of our experience was extremely good and we will be revisiting (a different room.) if we come back to Criccieth.
