Mellington Hall has a very special place in my heart. Mum and Dad ( both sadly passed 😢 ) had a caravan at Mellington and I was fortunate enough to spend countless times and hours there. Its lost a slight appeal personally as they have now fitted some street lighting on expanded the site but it's still a stunning and very peaceful place. The food in the Hall is very good

A significant stately home, this caters mostly for the camp site adjacent.
It is worth a visit to see some of the Arts and Crafts decoration.
The rooms are renovated to a high standard, with lashings of hot water available.
The food menu was basic, so I chose burgers and chips. This I think was a mistake. The food exceeded expectations and when I go back, I will order steak.
The beers are a weak point; mostly keg larger, although the Guinness was fine.

Touring caravan pitch. Have been here a number of times and would thoroughly recommend. Afternoon tea and drinks at the hall, perfect. Lovely evening meals also.

A wonderful big house set in amazingly beautiful and well kept grounds. Miles of land and woods to walk in, such a stunning location.
The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food really was delicious!
Would be 5 stars but despite all the essentials, like the rooms and toilets being new and modern, there were a few areas that were a little old and shabby. This is to be expected in an old house like this, but really stood out compared to the new areas.
Also the bedroom was so hot we couldn't sleep. The towel rail was on, with no way to turn it off, which just made it even hotter!
I would definitely stay again though, well worth it.

Well what can I say, Mellington Hall was perfect from start to finish. My husband and I came for lunch and loved it so much we booked to stay the night. The food was amazing and the staff were incredible. They couldn't do enough for us. We would like to thank Jane for making our room beautiful and Dawn for accommodating us after a little mix up with the booking. The chef was a delight and the food was perfect. Thank you all for a lovely weekend and making us feel so welcome. My husband was refreshed and ready to continue his travels on the offas dyke path. We can't wait to come back. Best wishes, Kayleigh and Mark.

Fantastic setting and a wonderful stately home venue. Staff were extremely nice and professional and very accommodating to our late check-in and early breakfast request. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Can’t ask for much more. Will definitely be back.
