Cinnamon Island Dover | Indian Takeaway

A really great place for dinner. Great service and exceptionally tasty dishes. We ordered the Lamb Staff Curry, Saag Aaloo, Bombay Aaloo, Chicken Dhansak and Garlic Naan. The meat was cooked perfectly and the naan was soft, warm and absolutely delicious. Just a tad bit heavy in the oil and the wallet, hence four stars. Otherwise a highly recommended place to delicious food.

During our two-week holiday we spent two pleasurable evenings at Cinnamon Island, enjoying the beautiful decorations, the wide range of tasty dishes and the friendly service. As Cinnamon Island is definitely one of our holiday highlights, we can clearly recommend a visit to all of those who are fond of Indian cooking.

This is the worst Indian restaurant, I have ever been. Starters were so bad that we have decided to leave restaurant after eating it which we didn’t even finish. Lamb was undercooked and chicken was dry and worst I have ever had. Beer was flat and it seems like frozen food was warmed up and served to us. This is an insult to Indian food and this restaurant is being run by people who are not only Indian but who have no idea about how Indian food should be cooked.
Please save your time and money and NEVER EAT HERE.

It didn’t taste very Indian to me though it is termed as Indian.

Food is quite spicy and oily as I found it..
Breads were thick and big, looked to me more like either Bangladeshi or Pakistani cuisine.

However, it wasn’t that bad if people prefer a little spicy/oily once in a while. You may find it a good taste. I found the chef very friendly but not the general staff.

10 mins walk to dover station.

This place is lovely, the staff are very nice and polite. I wanted to try something different and the staff gave good recommendations. Food was very nice not too spicy but wasn’t bland. Large potions and presentation was also very good. The staff put all left overs in takeaway boxes for us to take home. Overall had a lovely evening at the Cinnamon island and will be returning.

We have received very good service. Staff very help full and food is very good.

Food is very good. However second experience of delivery and after 1 and a half hours still nothing. Phoned first time. Told it had left with loads of excuses. Phoned 20mind later_ we are 10 mins away to be told it had left but there were two other deliveries before ours. And loads of different excuses. Great way on and collection. Do not use delivery.

Just a quick heads up for those who think that it’s Indian restaurant
No its not its a Bangladeshi Restaurant managed by Bangladeshi people and even the food is not at all like Indian food.
I would just like to pass on the message to everyone that if you want to have authentic Indian food then please avoid this restaurant.
Nothing like the food is not good but its just not indian food, its Bangladeshi food sold in the name of indian food.
