Tamarind Restaurant

First time I've been to the Tamarind, probably the best curry I've ever had, in fact all of our dishes were delicious. Excellent, friendly service and nice touches throughout the meal, great flavours and generous portions, totally recommend.

I went to the Tamarind for a catch-up with one of my old friends and they did not fail to deliver. Their service was excellent and the staff are so polite and welcoming. I ordered the peri peri chicken and it was amazing, very flavoursome. My friend ordered the genghis said and I had to try some of his and it was delicious also. I will definitely be returning very soon for this amazing experience again.

If you can please do avoid this place. Having come new to Northampton we went to this place after reading the great reviews. But we were disappointed big time. At entry we were asked if we had a booking, which we didn’t yet we were seated immediately and got our popaddums also in time but then after that no one approached us to get the dinner order. One particular waiter or server was quite making it clear he did not want to serve us for some reason. Finally the bartender came down and took our order for dinner, the food was average and the service left a very bad taste in the mouth

All in all a very bad experience and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

A very disappointing and bland curry..chicken Balti had no flavour and the chicken was chewy..horrible.
The chicken Jalfrezi was obviously a mish mash of whatever was left over on a Friday evening.
If you are going to serve the leftovers you should at least reduce the price..We ordered at 21.30 so it wasn't as if it was really late.
Such a shame as we have used Tamarind previously..we stopped because the quality had deteriorated.
We decided to try again last week and the food was lovely..but after tonight's order we wont be ordering again.

Nice place for official and friendly dinners. Nice ambiance and good space. Friendly staff and huge number of options to choose from. Non vegetarian options are endless. They serve drinks as well.

Absolutely brilliant! We went here for takeaway, delivered by Deliveroo as we were in Northampton General overnight. Food was hot, fresh, tasty and great quality. We’ve put them on the list and we’re going to come back to sit in and enjoy in a few months.

Came here for a work meal for 10. Service was excellent and the food was perfect. Packed restaurant didn't effect service or quality. Will definitely return

After a disappointing experience at another restaurant down the road, we found Tamarind. The staff did everything to make our experience a 10/10. The food was amazing, they even called the taxi for us. Couldn’t recommend enough, they saved our night!
