Chennai Dosa

Very authentic tasting dishes, particularly plenty of vegetarian choices and quick service in quiet atmosphere. Really enjoyable.

Avoid at any costs. The quality of food, waiting and the cleanliness has gone down drastically over time. We went in after booking and had to leave in 90 mins after placing order and waiting for our staters. Orders never went to kitchen, half order delivered to different tables, excuses of only one chef, new kids waiting clueless about wait times or general service. Had to leave disappointed half way as nothing was getting done. Disappointed as ended up wasting time. Went into near by Kwan thai instead and had an absolute good timely service and delicious food.

Sad this restaurant ended up in such shambles of service and quality.

I used to like this place as it served authentic South Indian cuisine. I ordered a take away recently and I was told I will be charged £2 extra for every menu. I got really confused as usually the extra charge is for home delivery, not for collection. If you dine in there , the cost will be same as mentioned in the menu card, but extra charge for collection. That is insane and I haven’t seen this madness anywhere else. I have stopped ordering from Chennai Dosa

It’s a good place in Ipswich to have authentic tasting Indian food , biriyani is good, I like the curry dosa , it was not dry inside ike some paces I’ve had before , lamb dishes are good too . And variety of South Indian dishes available

If you are in Ipswich or ever go to Ipswich and crave for 'Authentic' Indian food then Chennai Dosa is your place to be.
We had Lamb Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Chicken 65 and Chilli Chicken and everything was perfect.

The food is good but the fact that they charge extra two pounds per order when take away!! I mean come on, we just got 6 items which means £12 extra for packaging! Won’t be ordering from you again because of the unfair packaging charges! You can charge no doubt but I’m sure you wouldn’t be spring £12 for 5 plastic containers. Absurd!!

Best South Indian food in the UK in my opinion. Authentic flavour and consistently good. Staff are friendly and very helpful too.
Plenty of parking around the corner.

I have visited Chennai Dosa restaurant yesterday in Ipswich I get best brunch perfect Indian test we order Masla Dosa,kothu rotti, kushka.That was super tasty. If you want Indian food in Ipswich I Suggest Chennai Dosa.! 👍
