A small group that we’re staying at Ipswich marina visited and dined last night, with scrumptious food, most attentive service and menu prices that were most affordable. I would highly recommend this establishment, I understand that the recent covid plague has had a negative effect on the passage to India, and am very sorry to hear of their problems . However they are still there still open, and ready for your custom. Enjoy the food, we did!👍🥰

It was our favorite restaurant 10 years ago and we came again to Ipswich to visit it again. The owners has changed , the decor is the same, food honestly didn’t disappoint BUT the service was rushed not welcoming and we were ushered out just before closing time and after politely asking for some dessert we were told that they are closing even though there were still people waiting for their food. Standard restaurant etiquette is to go around each table and ask for their last orders before the kitchen closes. We wanted some kulfi ice cream which they said we don’t have any but didn’t offer anything else in return and promptly asked us to leave. Good food but experience was ruined at the end due to the poor service.

Very long wait for service and for food.
When meals came they were just warm. My dish was a chicken dish with a boiled egg. I had
No chicken and three eggs. Others were missing key elements to their dish. When we asked for a discount for the unsatisfactory meals and service the manager replied that it was poor because it was busy and then took in a tirade of anger against the lady in our group
Who she felt had the audacity to raise the issue.
Sadly this was our favourite restaurant. We won’t be going back.
It seemed that take away were their focus as other diners having the same experience. We are a friendly bunch so didn’t want a fuss
But her handling of the situation was shocking. appalling customer service and toxic attitude. The new waitress was lovely
And bubbly and I hope
She is recognised as
Doing a
Good job.

Really lovely restaurant we visited when in Ipswich. Friendly and helpful staff, the main hostess (and I think manager) was really helpful in recommending dishes and it meant we tried different items than we usually would. A little dated inside, but it also adds to the homeliness. We felt a little rushed at the end, but apart from that great food. I recommend the Kushboo curry :)

REPORTED TO FOOD STANDARDS AGENCY - DANGEROUS IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES OR DIETARY NEEDS! I called in advance to ask if they cater for vegans. I was assured that my curry would be made vegan and even added it to the notes section of the order to make sure as I have an intolence to dairy having been vegan for three years. My VEGAN curry had PANEER (cheese) in it - I am now dealing with the consequences of my dairy intolerance with an upset stomach and sickness! You'd think that was bad enough, my friend then found MEAT in her VEGETARIAN curry!!!!!! We called right away and spoke to a horrible, unhelpful and rude lady called Mel. She accused us of lying, told us (a vegan and vegetarian) we were the ones who added meat to our curry, that paneer is tofu (when tofu isn't on their menu and it was 100% cheese) and that Indian cheese doesn't contain dairy which was an outright lie and I even had to read the Google definition to her on the phone! She was shouting, made an offensive comment about her own staff, "well he is foreign but he knows what he's doing", lied multiple times about what allergens their food contains and treated us like liars. Reporting to Food Standards Agency immediately and highly insist that all with allergies, dietary requirements or just common sense stay away!!!!!!

Me and my partner ate here for the first time and had a wonderful experience! The service was amazing, such friendly, attentive staff who took great care of us. The food was absolutely delicious, I cannot recommend enough! We will 100% be back. :)
