Lovely family owned restaurant, nice and pleasant place to be. Friendly and very helpful staff. The food is also full of flavour unlike other Indian restaurants you can tell the chef at Menai tandoori has taken his time to make the dish. I have tasted many of the dishes and can happily say they have all been well above standard.

First time there tonight for both myself and hubby both enjoyed our meals we are regular curry eaters. Usually go to Taste of India down the road but as it was busy decided to give this one a try. Not quite spicy enough but that was our fault for not asking for it to be made hotter. Atmosphere was lovely and everywhere looked nice and clean will definately return again

Mediocre. No atmosphere & felt quite awkward that it was so quiet in there. The portions are small, service was slow and 2 out of 3 of our main courses were tepid when served. Disappointing after reading the praise given in other reviews.

I actually ate here in the summer, and kept meaning to write a review but never quite managed it. My wife and I found the food excellent - one our best curry experiences ever. The dishes we had were light, delicately spiced and well-balanced. You could taste and identify the flavours. The bhindi was a delight: fresh and cooked just right - not crunchy, but not cooked to preserve the texture, the way french beans are in a good restaurant. The chef/owner chatted to us about what he is doing, and is clearly passionate about his food. If you are used to things in a standard gloopy red sauce with lots of chilli, the style of some dishes might seem a little unfamiliar, but if you want to try something more interesting, I would try here. (I think they do serve standard "British-Indian" curry as well, but as I didn't opt for that I can't comment) I would love to go back, but I live 300 miles away. If ever I'm back in the area I'll see how they are getting on. They deserve to do well.

Oh dear. It was the second worst curry I'd ever had. My food was so sweet it was impossible to finish, like a hot prawn desert, completely unpleasant. My wife's food was so incredibly salty it tasted like the tub had been dropped in, no kidding. The waitress had absolutely no desire to serve or help us at all, and just stood back looking sullen. I very politely complained about the food and was told that yes, he had noticed that what my wife was served was all reduced at the bottom of the pan and the chef was fasting and so hadn't tasted it. I wasn't offered any kind of discount and I really shouldn't have paid but I did, over £100.

Just had a balti chicken takeaway and garlic and coriander nan take away. It rates as one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. Not spicy but full of exotic flavour. Superb. Thank you
