Lal Qila Restaurant

Poor service and a long wait for food. We ordered delivery for 6:30, we were told it wouldn't arrive until 6:55 and then after a few calls and texts to chase it eventually arrived, cold, at 7:15- not impressed.

the food was ok although we were disappointed to find a bone in the 'boneless' Murgh Masala. Portions were generous.

I wouldn't order from here again, there are better Indian options in the area

I actually ordered a delivery from bay of Bombay as the one thing I've been craving since lockdown is an authentic curry. It was a sad week for me this week marking what would have been my son's 6th birthday without him. So tonight I got the children their choice of takeaway and treated myself. I received a call from this restaurant asking me to.collect my food. I said I requested delivery. With 3 children I.had no way of getting to them. I was told they aren't doing deliveries. I was told how to submit for a refund. I was a bit sad.

However then the manager said he would deliver. I was so thankful. He got lost as I live on a new estate but was really nice about everything

I will be purchasing again. Food was lovely and customer service surpassed any I could even hope for. Thank you to the team

Local Indian either dine in or take away. Its a little tired in its decor and could probably do with a refresh. BUT Never had a disappointing meal though I've had items missing when having a takeaway. Staff / owner are lovely. RECENTLY started to close Tuesdays

I have been going to the Lal Qila for over 20 years and have always rated the food and service highly.
However last night's experience was anything but. The restaurant was half full which made a nice change, but only 1 member of staff serving both in-house guests and take away guests. The poor guy was completely overstretched.
We waited aporox 50 minutes for our starter and another 45 minutes for the main course. The biggest disappointment of the night was the main course lamb dish. Where was the lamb? Hardly any meat in the meal at all. Really poor value for money given the recent price increases.
The management really need to up their game. Such a shame as it used to be a great place to go. So disappointed.

Always had lovely food when having a takeaway meal from lal qila.
However our lamb buna last night was like water and greasey.
I think it had been left standing so grease was on top and hadnt been stirred before putting into takeaway containers.
Wont be having another one for a very long time, which is a shame as the meal was for my husbands birthday.

Lovely night in the Lal qila. Gorgeous food, service a little slow. However food delish so worth the wait. Charming waiter, will return

Great food, it's our go to place for takeaway. Only issue is the food is never ready at the time they say.

Food is always delicious and so tasty! When we dine in and also when we have it for take away. Best local and authentic Indian food restaurant in the area by a mile!!
