Shah Zahan Tandoori

We don’t usually go here, but we’ve recently moved to a new build and deliveries keep getting ‘lost’ so we wanted somewhere with easy parking so that my partner could collect, we ordered mid week so I can’t comment on delivery food or service during busy periods, but it was ready in 20 minutes and we collected no problem. The Starters and sundries were all delicious but I’ve had to knock a few stars off cause our medium spice curries were just too damn spicy, I don’t have an issue with spice and I always order the same thing, and I have never had one so hot from anywhere else, neither of us could finish 😂 if you like spice this one’s for you, and if not I would recommend ordering from the milder side of the menu.

I’m not sure really what’s happened to this place. We have had some really good curry previously. Today we tried the 2 person meal. It was all the same curry but with slightly different ingredients. All the same colour and all pretty tasteless. Such a shame as I used to really rate this place but I won’t be going back.

Food was delivered to my hotel piping hot. Tasted lovely and even the keema naan didn't have a lump of kebab in the middle which is what normally happens. Highly recommended!!

Awful customer service, items missing from the order. Not a care in the world or any offer of replacement food. Will never use again.

Formerly a very good takeaway but recently has really plummeted in quality. This is not to say you might not get lucky but I wouldn't risk it if I were you. Last curry I got from here was actually inedible and I felt very ill the next day. Two stars because I hope it improves.

Had a nice take away delivery from here very tasty and a big serving considering the distance to me was still hot and the outside air temp was well below freezing I enjoyed the food and will be foing back for more 😀

I do like this place but 2 orders in a row, the ‘bread’ on the chicken purée starter has been in cooked, basically raw dough. Such a shame as they get the topping perfect with flavours and spice every time. This is one of my favourite dishes but they do ruin this. I have no complaints with anything else

We always get our Indian takeaways here.
The lady that answers the phone is very chirpy and always slips a few jokes in which is appreciated.
The food is always delivered swiftly and promptly.
Every dish I've tried here is delicious. They always make my food without milk (as I'm allergic) and it's always mouth watering. The only negatives I could say, is sometimes there's quite a lot of oil in the dishes and the last few times the curry pots have been half full, maybe they've taken on someone new or are economising as they used to always be full. It has been feeling like I paid for a main but got a side portion.
And they always forget the number of mango chutneys we've ordered n paid for; they always give us one less.
But I would recommend the Shah Zahan.
This takeaway succeeds a lot of the Indian restaurants in Norwich.
Well worth it when the curry pot's full.
