Mowgli Indian Takeaway

This evening me and my better half chosen a quick easy meal and going to mowgli’s was our first mistake. After getting home and plating up our food and trying what we presumed to be a good quality Indian my lamb madras had zero flavour, the meat dry and over cooked had to be the high of the meal. The curry itself drowned in oil and lacking in flavour held nothing but an explosion of spice within the first mouthful. Not one to be beaten by spice I endeavoured to a few more spoons but to no surprise still no flavour but overwhelming slice.

Definitely somewhere we shall not be going to again, honestly would highly recommend going to your local Chinese at least you know the meat was walking around the living room fresh that day.

I suppose it was okay, other than the than half of the sauce being pure sugar, no spice whatsoever and took forever to arrive. I ordered the lamb madras and it came worse than a korma. There was hardly any meat and the rice was soaked. Please try to work on your food mowgli 😓

Small misunderstanding due to language barriers. (I'm a Geordie and order taker isn't). After one or two conversations with the manager I now have my correct order.
Regretfully I will no longer be using this curry house even though I find the Currys quite nice.

I’m will I had a vindaloo with my mum my dad and me gran cracking dish would try again. Much needed beers before eased the heat of this astonishing curry. Last time I had one was my time in Kabul not as nice Mowgli gets a 10 out of 10 for me wouldn’t go anywhere else (unless the taj deliver).

I haven't ordered from mowgli for some years as I didn't really like it at the time, thought I would as they had a good rating on deliveroo.. well they have upped their game!... Very lovely food, chicken chat starter the best I have ever had! Crisp poppadoms fried in fresh oil (you can tell when they are not!).. Lamb rezala, my go too.. a creamy main with a good hit of spice, lamb melts in the mouth, beautiful! Everything was spot on from starter to main! Absolutely well done you are my go to Indian fix now!.. Absolutely wonderful enjoyed ever mouthful ❤️👍

Used to be really good, not any more. We've ordered twice recently, the first time the rice was burnt and so everything just tasted burnt. Then yesterday our order was stone cold. Won't be ordering again from Mowgli.

Not sure what's happened to this takeaway. I won't be ordering again after 15 plus years. Chicken and vegetable jaifrieza. Always spoken when ordering same person but won't be ordering again! Sad times when the young ones know better!!!
