Mama's Indian Takeaway

We live locally and have enjoyed many takeaways from Mamas. Unfortunately after today I will not be returning. For the money spent, the food was not enjoyable, with most having to be thrown away. The quantities of meat and vegetables was very small in comparison to the sauce. All foods lacked salt. It felt like no effort had really been made. I very rarely write reviews but feel it’s only fair to others who might consider Mamas.

I've been there about 20 times and like the food. They often throw in some extra onion bhargis too. One good thing is that they do offer lower oil options so you can just mention this as you order.

Lots of reviews have mentioned slow delivery times and mixing up orders. One order was mixed up, but that was on new year's eve so I guess it was just very busy. Another thing I'd suggest is waiting at least 5-10 mins longer than the 30 mins they say, as it's unlikely to be that quick. I've never used the delivery option.

Unfortunately not a great experience here! I ordered a couple of naans and a lamb starter, I had to add poppadoms on to order to get to £10 so I can pay by card. Got home and no poppadoms in bag.. Naan tasted very sour, lamb tikka was ok but over cooked. Customer service was ok nothing special.

Very pathetic experience. Poor quality food, not at all tasty. They gave some compliment along with ordered food, which was already spoiled. A thread like substance was coming from it. Never go for this restaurant. Unhygienic restaurant. They think people are fool.

Curry was absolutely gawjus. Rice spot on as well. Couldnt argue with the quantity either as there was loads of food. Me n the fam thoroughly enjoyed will be back. Keep up the good work lads 👍🏻

best takeaway in cardiff the food never disappoints, great service very good prices and they often add extras. plus there’s discounts on collection orders and great vegetarian options too!

It's the only place I go for Indian takeaway. Yes there are the usual standards but go for something from the chefs menu and give your taste buds a treat. Tried many but this is the one I go back to.

Had Just Eat delivered order. Arrived on time, everything hot ,fresh, and enough for me to have for 2 meals. Can't fault it,best value for money.
