Hungry Elephant Indian Takeaway

Discovered this place a few months ago and have been travelling from Usk every week to taste new dishes. Absolutely by a mile the best Indian food we have tasted. Quality meat fantastic thick luxury sauces and great service keep up the great work.

Friendly, helpful staff, my curry was suppose to be hot with naga chillies but it was bland, my mum's was full of flavour and if anything hotter.

Well what can I say first time ordered and not one complaint the food was amazing had starter which was mouth watering and then the curry will use again thank you very much

Ordered from here ever since we found it.
Got to say Ive always enjoyed the food, quick delivery, Polite people to deal with.
Tonight was my only problem (no fault of the company) their driver let them down and one was off so when I rang to say my order was quite late and I'm starving lol, I could tell it was hectic there.
Anyway It took a bit longer still but just as I was giving up hope, the owner himself (didn't take his name but thank you by the way) turned up with a refund and my meal!
It was also delicious as usual :)
I totally understand Takeaway companies have problems and things get mixed up, late, but how many would the boss deliver himself with your money back and your meal??
That goes a long way with me!

Have to say we have used Hungry Elephant twice now since moving to the area before Christmas and it's the best curry I think I have ever tasted
We had a longer than usual wait for delivery and had to call to chase but even then as soon as the food arrived it was so good any frustration was quickly forgotten about, the food is just that darned good!
Got to be honest I don't know how I will ever order from anywhere else again!

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Hungry Elephant. I had to phone to chase my meal which was an hour late, then I realised that there was an item missing, took several attempts to get through and then I found a foreign object in my meal of which I could not report as I think my number was blocked, very unhappy. I did finally get through the next evening, to be told that refund for missing item had been processed and a voucher for £10 was posted for the inconvenience but then I explained about the foreign object and have heard nothing since after texting and emailing photos as requested. I did ask for a refund but was refused, terrible service will never use again

Really high quality Jalfrezi from Hungary Elephant Caerleon. I can't wait to try the Biryani next.

Hands down the tastiest Indian food I've had in Newport! Full of flavour, lovely aroma and all round delicious.. The man I spoke to on the phone was very helpful, and the delivery driver was so polite and friendly.. Overall 100% Satisfaction from us. Look forward to ordering again.
