What a great place. We booked two nights for a wedding nearby. The Friday night we enjoyed a great meal at the Angel. A higher class of food than just pub grub. The room is comfortable and clean and quirky like you would expect in an old building. We never heard any other guests but I think it was full. Breakfast - the chef made what ever we wanted. So 2 full English breakfasts were had. Lovely think bacon. Nice hereby sausages. Very very pleasant. Thanks

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Excellent food, reasonably priced and large portions. The roast beef was delicious. Staff were all very friendly and there is a great homely feel to the pub. It was quite busy but we did not have to book and had no problem getting a table. Real ales were very good too.

Visited just for a celebration meal. The restaurant /bar was very busy so pleased we booked in advance. Food was excellent, well presented and definitely worth the wait on a busy night. We had a gluten free diner in our party and she was most impressed we the variety of options available to her. Table waiting staff worked extremely hard and deserve a special mention.

Stayed here with family when visiting the area. The staff were so friendly and helpful and provided great customer service. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. A great menu and food was delicious, as was our breakfast the next day. Will definitely be back next year.

My husband and I have eaten there twice now in the recent weeks aa we have stopped off there before going onto Sheffield to visit a friend in hospital for long term treatment. The staff there are always friendly and helpful and you get a good amount of food at a very reasonable price. Thank you so much 💓

The Angel is a lovely pub with great, friendly staff.
They keep their beer well and have a good choice of drinks. The food is substantial and delicious and their specials board is always worth investigating. As are their cheesecakes!
Good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating and a decent car park. Small amount of children's play equipment outside too making it a good pub for a family meal too.

Wow... Wow... wow... This little gem is by far the best place to eat for miles and miles and rates in one of my "best places to eat". Our group doubled unannounced which usually means slow and poor service and bad food anywhere else, however these guys stepped it up provided some of the best service I have experienced and turned out just awesome food. 5 stars is not enough

Went for a family meal with 10 of us eating. The staff were friendly and the whole place had the inviting feel of a traditional pub. Food was beautiful I chose the steak in ale pudding and was not disappointed. My only regret was not leaving room to try a dessert. We will definitely be visiting again.
