The Italian Connection

Been visiting this restaurant for 30 years. Always great food and always a great night.

Food was amazing but not enough staff so waiting for ages. In the end never had pudding as was give me a menu for dessert but never came back to us.

Food was nothing more than microwave meals. Pate was shop bought and overpriced. "Creamy pasta dish" was a pale white lasagna sauce poured over some extremely well done pasta with a bucket of parsley to make up for the lack of flavour. Cannelloni isn't home made or an authentic flavour, has chicken, beef pork and spinach and tastes of nothing. Lasagna was OK but so is an asda smart price lasagna and it doesn't cost nearly £10. Cramped restaurant, impatient waiters and if I could put half a star I would!

I went to The Italian Connection in a large group of people and we had the room upstairs. The food was mediocre at best and they didn't have very many desserts, in fact we were discouraged from having a dessert. The staff were not keen to take our dessert orders and we waited for at least an hour after finishing our mains to finally get the order taken. One dessert had a piece of plastic in it so we were offered free sambuca but the lady who had had the dessert was tea total so she didnt receive anything. The desserts were frozen and rubbish, not worth the price charged. Overall mediocre main meals, awful desserts and shockingly bad service.

What a wonderful find! We had a lovely meal here this evening and the waitress couldn't be more helpful, with fantastic recommendations which we followed. The Cod was wonderful and tasty. The chicken with Italian sausage was superb! Red wine was great too both bottle and house red .
Best of all was the superb service from our friendly waitress who was so willing to help.
Would definitely go back here.

Really good, popped in after spending the day in Boston as it was the only place that was not a takeaway and allowed us to bring our dog in (very kind of them)

The service was really good and the pizza's were excellent

Food was quick and hot. Never had a bad meal here. Service was great staff wasn't overbearing

Not bad, not impressive. It was empty on Sunday night so the waiting time was excellent. Nice service too. Not a cozy place though.
