An OK dining experience. Didn't go in with any expectations and was neither disappointed nor blown away. Decent food, decent service and a decent dessert to finish the meal off. If you've come out of the movie theatre and can't decide where to go for dinner, you could definitely do worse.

This was my first time at Bella Italia, but it most certainly won't be my last. I'm a vegetarian coeliac, which usually severely limits my options. I don't enjoy dining out because not only do I usually not have many options but I feel so awkward and I anxiously imagine the staff must hate me. But I thoroughly enjoyed eating here from the second I walked in to the second I left.

There were more choices on the menu than I've had at any other restaurant, especially Italian restaurants. The very first thing they asked was if I had any allergies they should know about or dietary requirements. After placing my order my partner checked the app and was worried that they had forgotten to make my burger gluten free. The staff were more than happy to double check, in fact they triple checked.

Everything was delicious, the cocktails and mocktails are also a must try and the staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating.

I can't wait to go back!

Edit: Our second visit 3 weeks later could not have gone better. The staff remembered us and although I suspect it's because we are such awkward eaters they certainly didn't make us feel that way. We had the same very warm greeting as we did the first time. Tried another cocktail and it was even better than the first and so well presented! There was also a sign at the front saying they were short staffed and apologised for any delays, of which there were none. This will be our monthly date night venue going forward and I can't wait for the next visit!

Food was lovely, served pretty quickly and the service was just right (attentive but not too much lingering!) However there was at least 5 items unavailable from the menu and although I ordered dessert, I never got it!

We were able to sneak a quick late lunch in before grabbing the kids! So had a selection of the starters for a tapas style bite to eat.
Staff were very efficient, we were one of 3 tables in the restaurant, and food arrived very quickly.
It was tasty and enjoyable. Tables weren't entirely set up as cutlery was missing but the hostess noticed this straight away and brought it over. The wine I chose also wasn't in stock so I was asked to make a different selection.
All in all a nice lunch.

Visited Bella Italia in Burton for the first time today, the place was very clean and we were greeted at the door who was very accommodating.
We were a group of 7 plus a 2 year old across two seperate tables, the tables were clean and a high chair was given to my Neice. Tap water was given to both of our tables which was nice.

Lots of choice the menu but a couple more Vegetarian options would be nice for the pizza / even have a Calzone option too for vegetarians. We could only choose from Margarita and a Fungi Pizza.

Everyone tray enjoyed their meals, the children's menu which my Neice had the portions were extremely generous, the pasta i think an adult would be happy with! 3 courses for her for £6 and that includes a refillable drink, very impressed!

The dessert part of the meal and waiting for the bill did take a long time, one of the adults wanted to have a dessert but my Neice was given hers way before a menu got to us. Apart from that and the waiting time for the bill it was a nice experience and our server (servers as they changed shift half way through) was very nice!

The interior of the restaurant is cozy, the large space between the tables provides comfort. Marco polo pasta was tasty but dry.
I'd love to come back for dessert. Very nice service.

Edit.... 31st Oct 21.... I've reduced to a 4 star. Went tonight. Table at 7.30pm. Place was deserted. Only 2 other tables filled as we walked in. Lovely Service straight away. Starters arrived quickly however I didn't enjoy it (which they took off the bill which I didn't ask them to do). Certain items not available on the menu which is understandable due to supply issues which is beyond their control. However, had to wait over half an hour in-between the starter and main course even though the place was empty. They were concentrating more on their just eat orders which I counted 7 drivers coming in and out for deliveries while we were waiting for the main course. The main course was very enjoyable. Also received a voucher via email for a free main course. I love Bella Italia. Been a few times now and I have never had a bad meal. Food is fantastic. Always have calamari as a starter. They have a new menu now and had the meatballs. Meatballs were perfect sized. Small but not to small and plenty of them. Staff are friendly and polite.
