Bella Italia - Bluewater

Service and friendliness of the staff here is excellent and cannot be faulted. 5 stars

The food on the other hand is far below average..
The kitchen really let's this place down.
I know this is a chain restaurant and the food has to cater to all tastes but if I'm paying for a meal to be cooked for me, I expect it to be at least slightly better than I can cook at home!
Doughballs were hard and cheese was cold where they had been left so long. When I picked up a doughball the dish came with it. See pic.
The pomodoro con buffala (buffalo mozzarella and tomato) didn't have any flavour and and the pasta was hard.
Gluten free chicken and mushroom pasta was also hard and tasteless. Way too much onion.
Gelato served in a normal drinking glass looked like a dogs dinner.

Located inside the Bluewater shopping mall, I would say they are near the water front entrance. They have a selection of traditional Italian dishes and refreshing cocktails!
You can have a quick bite before or after the shopping, there is also a cinema close by for your entertainment. When we tried to enter the restaurant, couldn't as you had to book but luckily some hadn't turned up. So the manager was flexible to accommodate us.

Service was great, the staff friendly... main course was great, a little bit of confusion, we didn't get offered puddings and was given the bill... we paid and then requested puddings....... really should have just left after the mains, to be honest all the puddings were not very nice. They did apologise and money taken off. We all agreed that the main course was lovely and that we would eat there again 😋

Food was fine but both pizzas felt dry and the pizzas were hard although the pasta and lasagna was good. The service we great though.

Great food and great service!
We were given a table for four after waiting only a few minutes in line (we did not make any reservations). The service was fast and the food is priced fairly.
Would definitely recommend if you are planning on eating during your blue water shop.

Quick service, nice clean premises. Meal deal £17.50 starter or dessert with a main quite reasonably priced. Starter was great delicious in fact same as the main. Shame about the drinks selection run out of a few lines but didn't take anything away from a good experience. Never had a disappointing trip to any Bella Italia I've been to so would deffo go back. Keep up the good work✌️❤️(Starters not pictured)

Extremely yummy food. Very Italian. Loved the setting too. Was quite busy, as we went at 3pm on a Saturday, so had to queue first but only for a few minutes. The waiter was very nice and friendly.

Really good food! Quick service and would definitely recommend going. Can’t stress enough how nice the food was.
