We went for the staple meal off the menu
Margarita pizza and the very large calzone.
This is a good indicator as these set the standard. Both were excellent.
Although we didn’t have an appetiser they all looked fantastic especially the meat platter.
Finished off with a good tiramisu, all were very reasonably priced.
Finally the service was always on hand but not in your face and extremely friendly.
A must when visiting Brockenhurst.
'Twas a raining Sunday afternoon, where my partner and I found ourselves in this abnormal situation just towards the end of what I can only describe as an incredible, Italian meal, where the whole village faced a blackout!
Although we were the only guests present at the time, the staff maintained a highly professional approach to serving us, and offered us a lit candle, which only enhanced the warm atmosphere!
Bringing the focus to the food, it was truly wonderful, with every mouth there was explosion of flavour! Between the two of us, we ordered a pizza and pasta dish, both as excellent as each other.
Due to the nature of the extraordinary situation, the team at Albero offered to take the drinks off the bill, which was an act we were most grateful for!
10/10 would go again.
It is the most authentic ( and THE BEST ) Italian restaurant we’ve ever been to and the food is just out of this world! We keep saying we’ll try the pasta, however once you taste their pizza you can’t not have it. We returned again a week ago and had the best time. It is the cosiest little place. All staff are lovely and very attentive. Service is fast and always accurate. Safe to say we will be coming here regularly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely setting, indoor and outdoor tables, small car park out the back for customers but it's opposite the train station too so plenty of other parking.
Food was incredible, really fresh authentic Italian from a team from previous Michelin restaurants in Italy.
Very friendly accommodating staff, and a great view of the food prep area (for Pizza etc) from the restaurant.
It was just my wife and I this time but we'd booked another table for later in the week for the whole family as we were so impressed. Looking forward to taking the kids.
Update: Went back here later the week after our first visit, this time with kids too. 5 star rating stands firm. Food was brilliant again, service good, kids happy. Felt very welcome and recognised by the staff when we entered which was a nice touch.
