Capri

First visit to the Capri for lunch,, but most definitely won't be the last.
Quirky, characterful, clean restaurant. Well stocked bar. Excellent food from extensive Italian menu at very reasonable prices. And large portions.. Staff polite and friendly . Faultless ,, highly recommend.

Below average food ..... and poor service.

The lasagne looked terrible and I've tasted a lot better from a supermarket...

A £3 side salad that cost about 10p to make and wouldn't look out of place in a rabbit hutch.🐰

This was our first visit to Capri and I wish we had found it much earlier!
The food was first class . We sat outside and could have been in a lovely restaurant in Italy. Sad to hear the owners are leaving in 3 weeks. Hopefully the new owners will keep up the standard. We will definately be checking them out 😊

Beautiful meal at the Capri.

For starters, I had calamari and main, the calzone. Whilst I did find the calamari quite rubbery compared to other restaurant visits, the calzone (main) was sublime. Served with a bolognese ragu, the meat, mozzarella and not so thick dough made it a flavoursome feast.

Total bill for three people (two courses and two drinks) came to just over £52.

Skewered chicken was delicious and the vegetable selection was very tasty and beautifully cooked. Portion size just right. Individual Christmas pudding was yummy and at my request served with custard instead of brandy sauce . Friendly atmosphere completed a lovely evening with friends 😊
