Long story short, was told it was sorted so went to pick it up. 45 minutes later sheepish service department bod explained the fault reoccurred.
One whole week later, the problem sorted, but this time waited 30 minutes while the key was "released" from the wonderful, ultra high security thumb print secure key cabinet.
Hmmmm, are we getting too clever with all this technology 🙄. There was a decent apology as I left, but you can imagine how disappointed I was.
P. S. Gorgeous new showroom, crazy trying to park there, felt sorry for the attendant; nice coffee and friendly receptionist.
Purchased a 1 year old range rover evoque from Beadles which developed initial electrical problems driving home from the dealership on the day of collection!! 11 months later more electrical problems and broke down.....the car was relayed to Beadles where it remains over 5 months later waiting to be repaired!! This was due to the parts (a whole new engine) being on back order as they were out of stock.....after being told it had finally arrived and would be fixed to collect this week i receive a phone call informing me that the service team 'forgot' to order the turbo charger....which unfortunately is also out of stock and on back order.....and none can say when it might be available !!!
Worse still is that what came out of the warranty claim was that despite being told the car had been serviced and inspected before purchase by the sales team....this was not true, with the service team confirming the car had not been serviced by Beadles prior to me purchasing it. I was then informed the car had the incorrect battery in it and the battery in my vehicle was actually registered to a different vehicle altogether???###
Whilst Land Rover may have the reputation of being a 'prestige' brand there is nothing prestige about their aftersales or customer service at Beadles. With the exception of one young lady on the service desk i have been treated with nothing but disrespect. Endless promises of call backs that never happen, ignored emails and an overall lack of transparency in relation to my requests for clarity in relation to the history of the vehicle and the miss information i was when purchasing the car.
Called twice today leaving messages being told i would be called back and again nothing!!
purchasing a Range Rover was for me a bit of a dream and something i worked hard to afford.....but the reality has been, and STILL IS an absolute nightmare!!!
