Only common sense that I should have taken picture before and after I asked the repairer to fix my almost New Swiss Watch. When it was returned, the original new white straps became blemish. I would have expected it to have been cleaned. The heart of the matter was the watch, a special edition confirmed by John Lewis partnership. They had the ledger, bless the young chap, to find from archive, from stock number to confirm the the special edition model number
I had asked the jeweller to confirm on two occasions. They insisted that it was a normal version. A good specialist would have taken pictures and would have logged on a ledger in the workshop for insurance purposes. Now I cannot claim under their insurance policy
There is no point to contact the police as it is not a lost property. But for all Richmond, Kingston and Teddington residents, I would take photos before and after when you use their good service. Ensure insurance certificate is available. Otherwise the onerous stays with us the consumer and not J Coutts.

J Coutts replaced the batteries in three of my watches. They discovered a small issue in one of the watches and their watchmaker remedied the issue. Reasonably priced & quick. Friendly and courteous service.

Incredible service! Very personal. Listened to my requests and concerns and adjusted the service accordingly. Will always take watches here. Carol and the team are an asset to the watchmaking industry.
