We requested a battery service for a Cartier watch at this shop, after having received a disastrous recommendation prior by Goldsmith.
Staff at Micheal Spiers shop in Exeter was professional and helpful. Dispite the fact that they could not offer the requested type of service we were given a contact to a Cartier (and other brands) certified watchmaker locally.
We are most grateful for this recommendation which turned out to be great. Thank you

It’s always been a pleasure dealing with Lee over the years (we even have the same taste in watches!) We had a lovely experience last time we came in. Lee was very patient as we tried to work out which size was best. I would very much recommend Lee and Michael Spires in Exeter more generally (everybody there seems very friendly and knowledgeable).

As an update to my previous review, I would like to add the following:-
I went into the Exeter branch to look at watches and saw a Tag Heuer Formula 1 that I liked, Mark, the salesman was very helpful and spent some time with myself and my wife, discussing this and other Rolex watches. I purchased the watch and would like to give Mark a 5 star review for his time and patience with us. Thank you Mark.

I want to order a Rolex watch as I am retiring next month. So I visited Michael Spiers in April 21 and was told I would have to wait for this model, Jessica was most helpful, but would be placed upon a list called "An expression of interest". The area Manager George, sent me a follow up email as well.
On 15th September, Jessica was off so I contacted George to see how things were progressing, he told me that "As you have not bought from Michael Spiers before, it is highly unlikely that we will supply you with this watch, as we prioritise our own customers first".
I explained that I had previously purchased a Rolex from Torquay, before your company took over the Rolex franchise for the South West. He said that was not relevant to them as I had not made a purchase from his company.
I was very unhappy with this explanation as his company have only recently opened an store in Exeter, meaning it would have been impossible to have done that.
I then emailed him asking to explain what undertakings his company had given to the Rolex brand, regarding previous and current Rolex owners in this area.... That was 9 days ago, I have not yet received a response. I sent another email on Tuesday and have still not received a response.

Thank you Lee for your time and patience yesterday! I took my husband to choose a special watch for our upcoming 'time piece' 15th wedding anniversary present; Lee spent a great deal of time with us, my husband loves the watch he chose. What a lovely surprise that I was treated to one too! Again, your help was spot on and I love my choice too, we're feeling very lucky. Thank you also for our unexpected treat it was above and beyond, we shall enjoy it on our special day 😀

This watch, a Triscot costing £250.00, is rubbish. Took it back first time after only 8 months because it had stopped working. The French sales assistant said it is only a cheap watch! Not cheap to me and not a good shop to buy from. Very poor customer service and quality of goods is suspect.

Back in October my then boyfriend and I went engagement ring shopping.
We saw the most perfect ring in the window but it was the wrong size.

Max the sales specialist went to great effort to secure the same ring from the Taunton branch. We were only in Devon for the week so the race was on to get the ring in time before travelling back to Macclesfield.

Max went to great lengths to make sure we got the correct size ring the next day. When we returned to the shop we were delighted that the ring fit perfectly.

The rapport, professionalism and ease of conversation from Max made the whole experience smooth and special. We will never forget the day we bought the ring.

Yesterday on our 3 year anniversary we got engaged and I couldn't be happier.
The ring is unbelievably perfect . I can't wait to come and choose our wedding bands with Michael Spiers.
