This club in my opinion is definitely worth a visit. People and the instructor are very friendly. And their is mass of knowledge and experience within the group. Although not currently training due to current situation.when things return to normal this club is definitely worth a visit.

I have trained with Sensei Tom Hill for nearly 30 years. His knowledge and ability to motivate is exceptional. He has the knack of making classes interesting for absolute beginners and those with vast experience. I never fail to gain something new from every session. His philosophy is simple.... Will it work. He bases his teaching on traditional Go Ju Ryu but is open to new ideas and encourages students to question and contribute. I have been lucky to train over the years with well known and extremely talented teachers. Tom Hill is the equal of any of them.
If you have an open mind and are interested in furthering your knowledge as well as being up to the hard physical side of karate. I recommend you give the club a go

Tom Hill is a world class Martial Arts Instructor. Whatever your game, he can improve it, &, you personally, whether you're a beginner or advanced student. Keep fit & learn to look after yourself at the same time! I have personally trained for 31 Years with him. He always has something new & interesting to offer. Always evolving, yet offering practical techniques that work. Come & join this friendly, welcoming club! :-D

A lovely warmly setting with a wonderful atmosphere in the dojo. All the class participants are very friendly and help you with your karate skills. Tom Hill is a true legend, a great karate master and kind mentor for life. Ive not only learnt Karate and self defence, Ive developed a much better understanding of fitness both physical and mental. I have found that learning self defence really helps calm my mind, and has given me more confidence in normal day to day situations.

A great place to learn or practice Goju Ryu karate. A small club which also attracts experienced people from other styles, many who regularly cross train and bring their perspective back. Beginners are welcomed. Although the primary focus is on striking, locks, throws, holds and groundwork are also taught. Taught classes occur during the week, Sunday is an open session where people practice what they want, either alone or with partners, with seniors willing to help with any query or provide direction if asked.

There are many Karate clubs around , I have visited a number of these in my time. However I have always felt a part of this club particularly as the members are not only friendly, but are very helpful if you are having difficulty with anything in the training session and there will always be someone to guide you should you need it.
The lead instructor has many years of experience in the world of martial arts and shows this through attention to detail and his peaceful demeanour.

Great club to train in. Group is really friend and can be quite focused in sessions, which is needed. Been training with this lot for 6 years now and they really helped take my karate to the next level. I'm now a 3rd Dan black belt.
