It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we had a lovely evening, the food was amazing and the service we received was second to none. These guys deserve to do well. Highly recommend

Wonderful place, ate in the small restaurant, fantastic service and a delicious meal, gather it's rather a Faversham institution (possibly moreso the takeaway kebab house) started by the present owners father Mehmet (I hope that's correctly spelt) in 1985 the present proprieter Oscar (I apologise for not being able to spell his correct name) is a delight, helpful to a fault, knowledgeable and passionate about his restaurant and its food, we all 4 of us had the house special at his recommendation and were glad to have followed the advice. To start an array of cold dishes with warm lavash flatbread arrived including delicious stuffed vine leaves, hummus, a garlicky yoghurt, a herby couscous, a dish drizzled with pomegranate molasses, a wonderful version of imam bayildi and others, after a reasonable pause hot starters were brought out including a delicious samosa style pastry filled with soft cheese and herbs, a Spiced and juicy meatball atop a slice of Turkish 'chorizo', grilled hallumi cheese and other delights, again a pause then a range of meats including a melt in the mouth lamb chop, chicken and lamb kebab, one of the best donner kebabs we've ever had (my wife normally finds them greasy and avoids them - she ate this with relish) and a brilliant Spiced liver dish - my one son hates liver normally but asked me to ask for the recipe so I can make it when he gets back from university at Christmas, all this was served with a beautifully cooked rice - tender yet separate and a stunning (and very hot) red pepper condiment (which I loved but my wife found a bit too spicy) and an equally good yoghurt sauce heavily spiked with garlic (both obviously home made) we were supplied with chilled water without and never felt pressed to choose an alcoholic or other soft drink. Closing the act was baklava and a portion of ice cream but what baklava! In the past most of the baklava I've eaten has obviously been factory made and although delicious is dense and heavy, this was a revelation - sweet and unctuous but also crisp and light with the ice cream a perfect foil, we were also given chilled melon to cleanse our palates, finally we finished with hot drinks, myself and one son had a hot, thick and sweet Turkish coffee whilst the others had mint tea. We were never rushed or pressurised and feel we will be greeted as old friends next time we visit. Overall an outstanding experience which sent my son off to University in a spectacular fashion, as I stated there was only one problem - they're too far from Birmingham, mind you if they were closer it would be a regular haunt. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant for making it a special evening.

Lovely restaurant, with friendly staff and a good choice of dishes. Food was served quickly, with good potions but not too big. Tasty food. Able to walk in earlier in the week, however may need to book later in the week and weekend.

Excellent restaurant, nice atmosphere. Delightful staff. The George's Special is a surfeit of food and an excellent price. Their take away is also very good. The lamb kebabs in particular.

Eating in at the Faversham Mediterranean Restaurant (attached to the takeaway) is amazing. Order the George's special for a four course journey washed down with Turkish wine and completed with Turkish Strong coffee.

Went here for the first time to try it. We went with our 10 month old baby. The staff welcomed us and got us a clean high chair. Made to feel so welcome. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were really baby friendly talking and playing with him. The food was amazing. I can't recommend this restaurant enough such a nice place to eat and relax. You don't feel rushed even when it's getting busy. We will be returning. Thanks Alex making us feel so welcome.

Updated review 31/12/22. This is the third time I have been to this restaurant and it seems to get better every time. Even on a busy new years eve the services was first class and the food as always was amazing. We took our 1yr old and again was made to feel welcome with him. Staff couldn't do enough for us. This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants and would recommend to anybody. Thanks to all the staff making this such a great place.
