Danemere Kennels & Cattery

We recently adopted a adult cat from Danemere. The cats have a decent living space which is clean and welcoming. The cats seem to be well looked after. Most of the alcohol gels which are on the walls are empty though.
The problem is the staff. When you are all excited about the pet you've chosen and want to sort out the logistics, and you're barely looked at or smiled at, it's rather off putting, and puts a downer on things.
We were also given too little information about the cat's background. I appreciate the need to protect privacy, but more background information would help us understand the cat better.
Getting a new pet should be exiting and happy, the female staff at Danemere make it awkward and unwelcoming. Their communication skills leave a lot to be desired. Apart from the lady , presumably a volunteer, who was cleaning out the cages, she was lovely.

Lovely friendly staff , the staff come to greet us and my dog happily goes off with them , he also eats his dinner whilst there which is big thing and tells me he's happy .
I like he also gets to walk with other dogs too which is great for him too.

I have recently adopted a beautiful boy called Fred, a lovely tortoise cat.
Danemere were AMAZING.
They allowed me to visit without an appointment and meet the cats there that are looking for a furrever home.
The place where the cats are kept is perfect for their needs. They have multiple beds and have healthy food to munch on. They have cat litter trays that are maintained very well. Each cat has multiple toys in their pens for emotional well-being and to help keep them active.
Watching the staff interacting with the animals was wondful, I could immediately tell they spent time gaining the animal's trust and would work on their level. Fred was reported to be a very nervous boy but really came out his shell when interacting with the staff that helped him walk into his new carry case.
Danemere are meticulous with paperwork, and will only release a pet with their appropriate documentation. I highly applaud this approach. They give out information packs for families adopting to help them create a loving, safe environment for their new animal friend.
I would highly recommend this rescue centre. This is a place of love and responsibility.

Our dogs love going on their holidays there when we are away they are always so happy. Wouldn't put them anywhere else. Weave also adopted two adorable kittens from here too and the love everyone shows both dogs and cats is amazing. 5 *****

Took my dog there and she is an old girl, it was her first time having to stay in a kennel, the women on the desk was so nice. She introduced herself to my dog, put a lead on her and my dog happily went off with her. She had no problems and ate her food while there.

Our dog is a rescue one. We tried Danemere about 4 years ago whilst we were away. We were very impressed and happy of how our dog was looked after. Always goes in happy and comes out happy to. Would reccomended to orders in same situation. Give them a try you won't change.

Couldn't recommend highly enough. Your pet is looked after like it's one of the owner's/staff's pets - their welfare paramount. Staff are professional and friendly, premises are meticulous, couldn't ask for any more. Many thanks.
