Oh wow, Andrea, Gareth an all at Alconbury kennels are so much more than just a place for your dog to stay. Our dog Tessa is an extremely sensitive rescue, the first time I took her to visit, they were patient, kind an clever at her introduction that to my astonishment she not only bustled off to see all the out door areas but didn’t want to leave!. There were no problems when I took her for the 1st stay, she was so happy an we’ll cared for. I’ve just taken her for a 2nd stay an she literally ran in so familiar an excited, which was incredible an Tessa was so happy an confident on collection which speaks volumes. They truly understand all the dogs an their characters an ensure they are so well cared for. On top of this it’s immaculate an fresh an Andrea is so conscientious with what they like to eat an comforts.
Alconbury kennels comes highly, highly recommended.

This was the first time we had used Alconbury Hill Kennels for our 11 year old Jack Russell and were understandably nervous at leaving our dog but we needn't have worried as we were greeted by a friendly man who put our minds at ease. Our dog happily went in and when we picked him up after being away a week he came out just as happy as he went in!!! Although this was our first time it definitely won't be our last and I would highly recommend this boarding kennel to anyone!! Thank you Gareth and Andrea Brown. We wish you every success for the future and look forward to using your kennels again.

Was there collecting my parents dog. Been using them some years now. Very good service. I'm with my parents now just read your message wasn't told about that one lol yes looks like I am fetching Sophie then.

Horrendous customer service. We had a delayed return from holiday which was out of our control; we sent an email from the airport explaining our situation ( which was said to have not been received) on arrival in UK I picked up a phone message from the cattery stating our cat had been put in his carrier due to the cattery being full and he would be until we picked him up. On our way from the airport we left 2 messages on their answer machine which were not returned. We appreciated that the cattery closed at 12 and it was after that time, but felt there was no other option (as our cat was in his carrier and no responses to our calls) than to go directly to the cattery and see if we could pick him up. On arrival at the kennels/cattery the owners had, what can only be described as an uncontrolled, rude and abusive melt down towards my wife and I, “How dare we invade their family time!” I have never been so appalled at the attitude of business owners, to who I was paying £230 for a service? I said I would not be using them again, to which the response was, “Brilliant”!! However, they did also say in mid rant that they had “60 animals” to look after, so my paltry £230 probably doesn’t mean much. However, the point of this review, I would not recommend this Kennel/Cattery if there is a chance you may be late and the amount of flight delays and cancellations at the moment, you cannot be sure.
Also, as another point our cat was absolutely starving hungry when we got him home and had lost considerable weight in the 2 weeks he was there. Mainly dogs at this place by the amount of barking??

Left my baby Mazie here twice this year and cannot recommend the owners and staff enough. Mazie came out full of joy and was bouncing about like a young puppy. She was treated very well and was healthy and happy. I will have no qualms in leaving her here again. Thank you all for taking care of my most precious Mazie.

After reading so many excellent reviews we decided our 8 year old springer would be best cared for at this excellent facility. As this was his first time boarding in kennels we wanted to ensure the best possible care and treatment regardless of cost and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The drop off process was so professional it put our minds at complete ease and allowed us to enjoy our weekend away carefree. The staff/owners were extremly friendly.,welcoming and professional. Upon collection our furbaby was extremely happy and well cared for we highly recommend these lovely people and their wonderful facility this will definitely be or go to for future adventures.

Lovely experience so far for Alphabet and Astronomy - clean, kind, accommodating family and staff who clearly love animals! We had a tour, and immediately booked... security and comfort for our cats!

We went to the kennels this morning , to have a look to see if would be OK for our little rescue girl. Made to feel really welcome , went through everything with us . And she is going for 2 days . Thank you for all your help this morning. Christine and Ray Barker.
