Lightwood Boarding Kennels & Cattery

Just picked Poppy up today and I was worried about her in the heat and the thunderstorms; which she normally stresses about. She is great! Very happy. It was lovely to hear that she was given cool towels to keep her cool and how, in the thunderstorms when she didn’t go undercover, the owners moved her to a more sheltered area. The owners take a great deal of care and attention to all dog’s needs, moving them if necessary to find compatible ‘friends’ with other dogs. We first placed Poppy in this kennels as a puppy. She would not go in the heated part. It was very cold and I was surprised to hear that the owner had her in the house with him and his own puppy. We will only leave our dog here! Highly recommend it!

The worst kennels we have ever used. They left our dogs walking harnesses on for 4 days. When he came home, he was dehydrated, hungry, and smelt awful. The kennels don't take cards and they were dismissive when we asked about where we could get cash locally. STAY AWAY,......

Went to have a recce before our dog went for a holiday.
He loved it! Such a happy atmosphere.

Our girls loved it there. They were well looked after. The family there are so lovely too. Looking forward to bringing them back in October. Its so reassuring to know that your babies are so well looked after whilst you are away. Thank you Julie 👏👏xx

Our 16 year old cat Rio always has a lovely time when she stays here 😊 . She is content and happy to visit at Lightwood and Julie makes her and all the other cats feel special and at home.

Left our dog Tess for 2 weeks we came back to pick up a very happy dog , lovely place pets well cared for owners staff very helpful , do not have any hesitation in recommending this kennel we will be back Thank you

My cat was well looked after. The lady who runs this place is lovely. Highly recommended and reasonable prices too!

We have taken our rescue dog Maddie to this kennels for a few years now and that says a lot but actions speak louder than words! Maddie wags her tail and gets very excited as we pull onto the lead in road, she can’t wait to jump out and see Julie and the staff. She comes home very happy and sleeps for hours-very contented🐶😍.
They are reliable, friendly and very accommodating.
