Fantastic service in here, very knowledgeable staff, dealt primarily with Stuart. No hassle or pressure just solid advice, typical of a small family run business that look after their punters. If your looking for a "proper" kilt it has to be the following. 8 yds of 100% wool material, hand stitched, 16oz in weight, then this is the place. They also make your jacket to measure. I hired a kilt for a wedding and found the service to be exceptional. I had to send my measurements in advance as I was coming from abroad and had no chance to try on the kilt until the day of pick-up which was also the day of the wedding. The team did a great job finding the right sizes as a perfectly fitting ensemble was waiting for me on arrival at House of Argyle. Staff were very friendly and helpful during fitting and pick-up. Dropping off was also hassle free. I will certainly hire from House of Argyll again.

One of the best family owned shops I've come across! Staff are very helpful, they understand and appreciate the time and thought that goes into making tailored kilts and appreciate and help new buyers to Kilts.

I have personally received help from them and have asked them many questions and they were extremely helpful in explaining to me all the different aspects of choosing a kilt and helping me to make my choice.

Andrew showed me even the differences between the different types/weights of thread used, the type of plaid, how the kilt is put together roughly, explained the buckles and how they do stuff, more than what most people would ask for I feel ... I'm curious like that.

I will be going back there again for my kilt stuff and they have plenty of different stock and official tartan and a wealth of experience of over 20+ years.... I Would highly recommend going to them if you are looking to get your kilts and all related clothing items.
