Appalling. A while ago I bought a can opener here which disintegrated on first use. I had forgotten about that until my experience this week. I went to the shop, and when I was spotted looking at pots two staff descended upon me. They were very keen to push the sale of two "professional stainless steel" hot pots, carrying them off to the till before I had decided I was buying any pot. I told them exactly what I was looking for - two pots to cook ON A TWIN BURNER. I was looking at other pots that were cheaper - but decided on these as they were stainless steel. I had no reason to think these could not be used on burners - nothing to indicate this and certainly not told this by these two staff. I even put them side by side, explaining I was not sure they were too wide for the burner. When I used the pots on the burner, the bottom first expanded making it roll around on the hotplate. Then the bottom caved in. Neither are they "stainless steel", they are severely stained underneath after short use. Today, I returned the pots - but this man refused to take them back or refund stating I have mental issues and claimed he told me they are for oven use only. I have never come across such dishonesty and blatant lying in a shop in all my years. He intentionally sold me a wrong item fully aware they were unsuitable for my needs. I will now be taking these pots and the £35 receipt to Trading Standards. Avoid this shop at all costs - there is ZERO customer service, buy on Ebay or Amazon where this behaviour is not tolerated and your consumer rights are protected.
