Kube Kitchens

We purchased a kitchen from Kube in Sept 2014 (costing just over £15,000 for the kitchen not incl fitting) which was installed in March 2015.

My mother is an OAP who had explained her needs to the salesman at the showroom.

She explained that the kitchen is used a lot and predominantly for Indian cooking (ie using turmeric and oil) and is very particular about keeping the kitchen looking pristine (meaning work surfaces should be easy to clean and maintain.)

Kube suggested Silestone surfaces for the kitchen (as per their showroom) which has turned out to be totally inappropriate as the surfaces get visible finger prints on instantly and is hard to keep clean.

I'm sure Silestone has a good reputation and Kube cannot control the quality of the granite tops however I would have thought rather than push their preferred supplier Kube would have taken into consideration the request made at the time by their customer.

My mother specifically told them about her need for ease of maintenance given that she is elderly and has reduced strength in her hands. Obviously Kube make a commission from selling SIlestone but I would advise any customers to do their own research into the pros and cons of using Silestone. The fault is probably my mothers for being too trustworthy of the salesman - a lesson learnt though.

They also supplied us with a very costly but noisy cooker hood. Despite telling Kube about this and the fitter coming to see it the problem still remains.

They supplied a Siemens dishwasher with the kitchen - a promotion was in place which meant the dishwasher was at a discount (but not free); again Kube I suspect may have some affiliation with Siemens and will tend to push their products over others (we at the time were siding with Bosch but were told by the salesman that we would be happy with these appliances.)

We have had problems with this dishwasher for quite some time (the salt/rinse aid is causing issues.) After speaking to Kube they initially offered to look into it and at one point said they maybe able to swap it for another one (display model.) After a long wait they reverted to say they cannot do anything to help. If we knew they wouldnt help we could have made other arrangements ourselves.

PROS:
The kitchens themselves look nice / designs are good
The fitting company Kube recommend (Robert James) was also very good; albeit not the cheapest by any means however was happy with the service they provided us

CONS:
- The after care is lacking and below par
- I dont think they truly listen to / understand customer needs and will push the products they have preferential commission arrangements with even if its to the detriment of the customer and when problems arise they do not really want to know you.
- Overall I dont think it's great value for money;

Sadly I wouldnt be advising others to work with Kube in the future and regret changing our kitchen in the first place.

Sales staff were helpful and friendly. Quote was competitive. However we decided to go elsewhere so can not advice on their lead times or installation quality.

I had looked around for quite a while before going with Kube. I found the design consultant (Alan, Upminster) to be knowledgeable and very willing to help me. I wanted a colour that wasn’t standard and was really impressed with the time and care I was given; not only on my first visit but during subsequent drop-ins to clarify or consider my options.
I was pleased with the quote and felt it was value for money as the units are of very good quality and the finish excellent.
My order and delivery were executed quickly and I found the office staff really helpful, keeping me informed and calm in the run-up towards a pre-Christmas fitting. (Thank you Maria)
My fitter was really good, he worked in a very tidy and orderly manner, he (Rob) had a fantastic work ethic and executed my kitchen beautifully.
Aftercare has been excellent. I love my kitchen. It was exactly what I wanted. Thank you Kube.

We are over the moon with our Kube Kitchen. Alan at the Upminster branch was so helpful and knowledgable. The service we received from Kube from start to finish was first class; quality products, great customer service and good communication. Kubes’ kitchen fitter Jason was such a perfectionist and his attention to detail was amazing. We can not recommend Kube enough.

I have just recently had a Kube Kitchen installed and I’m absolutely delighted with it. It’s better than I ever imagined. The staff were excellent and had great vision to help us get the kitchen of our dreams - especially Rob, with whom we did our design.

Upon arrival and fitting we had a couple of minor issues with the kitchen nothing major just slight scratch on a door and small sizing discrepancy on part of the cupboard.

These things were minor and can happen but how it’s handled is key. Thankfully they went above and beyond, came out straight away to rectify the problem and make sure we were happy. Have been in constant correspondence making sure that we were ok with everything and happy.

I highly recommend for the style and being very reasonably priced. The kitchens are show stoppers and far superior than anything else we looked at in this price range. The after-service is second to none. Thanks guys!

Great designers, very knowledgeable. Designers see you through to the end, fitters are well above average. A great group all round....

From day one Kube Kitchens have been fantastic, from our initial appointment with Alan who was always on hand to answer any questions we had through to the fitters who installed our kitchen and recently Maria and Rob who have been helping us sort a small issue we have had with one of our units. We have been so impressed with the customer service and professionalism of Kube Kitchens and would definitely recommend them to our family and friends!!
