DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE..
Sold a dream in the showroom and to be fair the only credit can go to Brandon who dealt with us in the Worcester showroom. All was going smooth until delivery. The delivery date came about and it wasn’t until the Wren delivery drivers handed us a letter that wasn’t even addressed to us (which suggests this happened regularly) to say that our kitchen delivery would be incomplete with no oven or dishwasher on the lorry. No date or any information was given to us as to when we would receive the appliances and after having to wait half an hour on hold to customer services it would be another 2 weeks for the dishwasher and another 4 weeks for the oven. We then asked for a refund for the appliances and have had to source elsewhere due to ridiculous waiting times… they then sent an email informing us that a refund had been processed.. only to be refunded on the wrong card.
Numerous parts were missing from the kitchen and several units were damaged when unpacking them which meant our kitchen fitter spent a day trying to figure out what was actually delivered and what he could actually fit that wasn’t damaged rather than fitting our kitchen which we were paying him to do. Due to several items not being delivered our kitchen fitter had to slightly modify our kitchen which we told customer service whilst complaining… only to be told by the rude woman on the phone that our kitchen warranty would be void because we had to modify and work around missing parts BECAUSE THEY DIDNT SEND THEM OUT🤣.
They have also sent us a hob without a venting kit so at the moment all we have is units in our kitchen and not a single working appliance seeing as wren failed to deliver and then have left us hanging to dry when trying to find out when our appliances will be with us.
Do not make the same mistake as us and go elsewhere when looking to buy a new kitchen.
Avoid this company like the plague
We used our own fitter as we had heard from more than a few people that Wren sometimes hire iffy tradesmen to fit for them and wanted to avoid a headache. With this in mind we booked our delivery for when we needed it. We were let down by one of our tradesmen and were unable to proceed with the fitting when it was meant to happen.
We tried to cancel the delivery as we knew we would not have room as our kitchen would still be full of... well... kitchen. But were told no, we can't cancel the delivery, it's too close. Even though it was way before and the delivery van wouldn't have been loaded yet, all that had to be done was a quick phonecall to stop it being sent out!
So we ended up having to accept delivery of a kitchen we had no room for. I only took one photo, but there was kitchen in 3 rooms, including worktops lying up the stairs. That is what the minus star is for.
The delivery team were great, they seemed just as annoyed as we were that the delivery hadn't been cancelled and couldn't understand why we were told no.
Thankfully, on delivery, all of our items were delivered with no damage so we were pleased at this as we have heard horror stories of missing items and repeated deliveries of damaged goods and their replacements.
We got extremely lucky with a cancellation with another tradesmen for the following week, so I suppose it worked out in the end. Just rather annoying having to climb over kitchen scattered around the house for that week.
The kitchen itself is sturdy, exactly as we designed it and we can't fault it honestly. The woodpecker flooring we ordered with it is really nice too. I've attached photos of the kitchen.
Overall, it was a mainly positive experience with a happy outcome, but definitely do your research beforehand.
It was quite by chance that we visited the Worcester showroom in May 2021 and was approached by the Manager. The new kitchen journey started there and within 4 months we had our lovely new kitchen and utility installed. We were allocated a talented Kitchen Designer in the showroom who made the arrangements for the free survey to take place and then stayed in contact throughout. We opted for the fit service through Wren and the contractor we were given worked diligently for 7 days to complete the 'large' fit. The contractor had an electrician and a tiler that he recommended to us for the elements not covered in his Wren contract for dry fit. They all worked in a tidy manner throughout although i'd be lying if I said it wasn't weird to initially lose the heart of the home when it was first ripped out! All worth of it of course as daily we could see how it came together.
Wren held to the dates and times they gave us for delivery of the kitchen which arrived a few days before the fit started. We were missing 2 cooker hoods due to the freight disruptions and it took a few calls to central customer service and the involvement of our Kitchen designer to resolve as they arrived after the initial fit. All things considered the inconvenience was minimal and the entire job completed in just over 2 weeks.
Now some 5 weeks later we have a beautiful new kitchen and are satisfied with the quality.
The quality of the units is first class and at every stage of the process we met people who were helpful, professional and at the top of their game.
I couldn’t recommend this company more highly.
