Quality product (though this comes from elsewhere), let down by appalling customer service levels: very slow (months) to complete order despite my constant contact, and inaccurate measurements resulting in replacement cabinetry. Staff friendly except for owner, who was patronising and unapologetic. I try to support local trades - this one sadly lets everyone down.

We made an appointment but got a disappointingly brief consultation with a guy called Andy who was very unenthusiastic. He made a rough sketch on some paper and made a vague promise to get back to us though warned that he "had a lot on". Over one month later we still hadn't heard anything and went elsewhere. This was the first time we had been involved in choosing a new kitchen and in all the other places we've been the sales staff have been very interested in taking the time to help us get it right. It might well be that Kitchen Workshop are good quality but poor customer service means they lost a sale in this instance.

We just had our kitchen done by the kitchen workshop. It was much nicer than most of the others we saw and a good price. Theres a couple of finishing touches to do but really pleased. Would recommend.

We had ‘the full works’ service. It was a real selling point and was what swayed it for us.

I’m sure the new kitchen will give many years’ service and enjoyment, we are truly thrilled with the final product now it is complete.

Bad Customer Service and Poor Workmanship. We purchased a kitchen from TKW a few years ago, we had issues with the quality of the door delaminating which was put down to a bad supplier. I had to chase the supplier myself in order to get a site visit and the new door ordered. Once they were ordered all my emails to TKW went unanswered and it took weeks to get any communication about dates to have the doors replaced. Once this was finally done, I found out that not all the agreed work had been carried out and some of the delaminated products had just been glued back in place (which were noticeably rippled). Even though they had the new parts to replace it but the excuse was they didn't have the right screw driver. A number of emails and phone calls later without any response it took another 6 weeks until a fitter could come back and finish the originally bodged jobs. This time the items have been replaced but they look so badly cut and sawn to fit around the current appliances that there are huge gaps and rough edges, it looks like it wasn't measured and cut by hand, which I was then told was going to be filled with silicone! I've never dealt which a company so unresponsive and poorly run that it doesn't care about it's reputation on providing after care and support. They're only interested in selling kitchens.

Disastrous, diabolical, despicable! Over a year ago, in April 2016, I paid more than £20K in full for a kitchen and utility room, as per their terms and conditions before they would start installation. I STILL don't have a finished kitchen and it's taken constant complaining from me to them to get anything done. I was promised the bespoke treatment and apparently nothing was too much trouble James Cotterell said. The reality is that everything was too much trouble and quality control and scheduling is non-existent. Not a high quality kitchen provider at all, trading on a reputation that used to exist. The fitters are just interested in getting in and getting out and are subcontractors with no loyalty to Kitchen Workshop and I have had so many issues where quality is rubbish and work not completed. Only for me to have to repeatedly chase them to finish what they should have done, or fix the poor jobs they did do. Couldn't be less happy. AVOID and save yourself the heartache and frustration.

So that review was back in July 2017 I think. Today it’s 22nd November 2017 and I need to update the review.
My kitchen still isn’t finished.
I was wondering how I could add some details and context to improve a reader’s understanding. The problem is there were so many problems and complaints over the last 21-ish months that you would get bored reading them.

No, it came to me tonight that the simple reason my kitchen is not finished is because the owner James Cotterell just doesn’t care anymore.
After another period of being ignored, after again being promised the issues in my kitchen would be fixed, I again went to see James Cotterell. He said he had seen my google review. I asked if there was anything in it that surprised him? He had no answer. NO ANSWER! Just a blank look. Right there and then I should have realised. That attitude right there, told me every thing I needed to know but I didn’t see it until tonight. He just doesn’t care about his customers as he already has the money.

If a company is not busting it’s butt to fix the problems it created, then that says everything. There are several other terrible google reviews about this company, mine just happens to be a lot more detailed as the worry this company has caused my wife and I has resulted in sleeplessness, arguments between us, lost revenue from running our own company whilst we take time out time and again to try to get this finished.
I have finally conceded that my kitchen will never look how it should. Shameful and embarrassing behaviour by the owner of this company.

I highly recommend the kitchen workshop! So many of my friends have had kitchens from the kitchen workshop over the years and they've all been delighted. I'm not going to say being without a kitchen for 2 weeks was easy, but the guys were nice, and the finished result is amazing and great value. It was the only place we could afford a granite worktop as well!

Good design, and great options. We really wanted a deep blue and this was the only place that we could get the colour we wanted without paying through the nose. Good quality, delivered on time and fitted it myself.
