Walked all 30 locks and it was a great walk. Shame that we couldn't get a drink at the top lock, or wharf, but it was lovely.

Really good. We was lucky to arrive just as a canal boat used the lock. There is no parking. The walk itself of the 30 locks is very pleasant and scenic. We would definitely cone here again.

Lovely walk down past the locks to queens head walk back up to lose the weight gained from pub

What can I say. It is the last or first depending on direction of travel of 30 locks in a sequence. Allow 4 hours to do them all. You have to keep going as there is nowhere to stop 🙂.

Great piece of history for Britain's waterways, look out for the small monument and plaque opposite the house which marks the point and people who saved the canals and proposed a way forward for them as pleasure use after commercial use had finished and many had become impassable.

Lovely view as you reach the tip of the flight, interesting church set atop of medieval furrows, now mown short by sheep, giving a striped "mown" look to the grass - beautiful. A weeping willow frames tge entrance to the Tardebigg tunnel and good moorings with winding, and a small boatyard.
Very picturesque, but slightly spoiled by the distant rumble of the main road. Quieter moorings available closer to lock 57 or the far side of the tunnel.
