Optical Express Laser Eye Surgery & Lens Replacement Surgery: Cardiff

Outstanding service - from reception to tests to the surgeon’s chair I felt so well looked after by everyone. They know the decision to have laser surgery is nerve wracking but they somehow made it all very easy, relaxing and even fun (I was laughing seconds before the surgery itself) My eyesight is better than 20/20 after being very shortsighted for most of my life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to everyone - they’ll look after you for sure.

Fantastic service from start to finish! Initial consultation answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable with booking in my surgery. The day of my surgery the staff were so friendly and made it so I wasn’t nervous at all! My surgeon was fantastic! The procedure didn’t take long at all (less than 3 minutes) so there was no time for the nerves to kick in. I didn’t feel anything during it, and there was no pain afterwards. In my follow up appointment the next day I was told my vision was already better than 20:20! I couldn’t be happier with the service I received, starting with booking the consultation all the way through to aftercare, and my new vision! Thank you!

Staff are all extremely friendly, not once was I made to feel rushed or any discomfort. The laser eye surgery it's was also done extremely well and I was informed of everything during the who procedure.

Fantastic service. The team was kind,friendly and made the experience less stressful and scary. The procedure itself took less than a minute on each eye and its really wasn't painful at all. I kept on top of my pain relief after which helped massively. I would highly recommend this to anyone and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner...I do wish that I didn't have to go to Cardiff and that they could of done it in Swansea where I had the consultation.

My experience with Optical Express from the initial consultation to the surgery has been amazing. So far I am 3 days after my Lasik surgery and I am already back in work and driving. My vision is a lot better than with contacts and glasses and I wish I had done it sooner. All the staff at this branch are friendly and helpful!

Excellent from start to finish. Everything was clearly explained, and everyone had more than enough time to answer all my questions. Couldn't have asked for a easier experience. Would definitely recommend.

Be very careful using this company and read the very small t&cs what they won't highlight is the fact that a high percentage of people will require follow up treatment, also they will not fully explain the ludicrous cost of any of these follow up treatments.
I had lense replacement surgery I8 months ago. Following the surgery I had some issues with my vision which I mentioned at all my follow up appointments.
The various opticians I seen all assured me this would improve over time, and that my vision was better than 20/20.
18 months on and I am back with the same poor vision I had prior to paying over £6000 to this company.
Due to their non existent customer service and extortionate so called after care, they now want me to pay another £600+ to make a correction to one eye, what they expect me to do with the other eye I don't know! This does not include the £100 they want just to see me, prior to any corrective procedure.
I have now been dumped on the NHS to pick up the treatment, as if they haven't got enough on their plates!
If anyone would like more information prior to spending their hard earned money with this company, please shout and I will be happy to give more to share my experience.

Great service and great surgery! I felt compelled to leave a review after the fantastic service I received at Optical Express Cardiff. From my initial consultation through to my aftercare check-ups. I had the lasik surgery and was initially very nervous but my advisor and clinician quickly put my mind at ease. The consultation is very informative and I found it to be very thorough! The result of my surgery has been amazing and I now have 20/20 vision!! Thank you to everyone involved! 10 out of 10! Would highly recommend!!
