The Washbowl Launderette

Wow, the cleanest, tidiest loveliest launderette I’ve been in for a long time. The soap compartments are clean, washing machine surfaces cleaned down, flowers, change machine, clean floor and great instructions. We are travelling by narrowboat and this is the best launderette I’ve been to in ages.

This laundrette is in the heart of chorley, it is the best laundrette without a doubt . The washbowl has just celebrated their 60th birthday, a little price increase, but you can guarantee you will walk away with clean , dry clothes and a smile on your face after meeting the people on hand 😀

Amazing launderette. Fantastic machines, very large washers and dryers. Best place ever! Very simple and easy to use. Brilliant manager (Gerard) also, lovely chap who can't do enough to help. You won't be disappointed.

My partner and I recently visited this launderette to wash a large duvet. i have used the place occasionally before, but I am not a regular as I have my own machine for normal clothes. It was the week before Christmas, and the two chaps who run this place were there chatting to customers and offering food and beverages due to it being the Christmas Season. We were not expecting anything, given that we are not regulars, but the chaps treated us like we had been going for years. It was a most convivial and pleasant experience and I was so impressed by their kind gesture that I almost want to go every week just for the social interaction! These chaps are a credit to the Washbowl and I came away having had my faith in human nature restored.

I good selection of modern industrial grade washers and driers in a range of sizes to suit individual wash sizes.

The guy who runs this place keeps it really nice - pleasant decor, fresh flowers inside and, in warmer weather, outside too.

It's clearly had a full refit since our last laundry emergency - electrical problems in the kitchen this time rather than our washer or drier breaking down.

Without this place we'd have been stuck.
