Very nice place, staff is friendly and super helpful! The price is similar to many places: £6.40 big washing machine, £5.40 small one and £9 per minute for a dryer that can fit a duvet!

Customer service is very poor. The place supposedly shuts at 7pm and 18.10 they lock the door and make it very obvious that they are unhappy to have you there as it is late. Then they may or may not let you in quoting their need for cleaning. Twice now I had to ask the lady to change the misleading closing time as I don’t have any appetite to have a senseless argument when I myself can do do the calcs of drying, cleaning, closing time better than anyone who works here. No, you don’t shut the place at 18:10 if it is meant to close at 19:00. Similar reviews here and owner gives the same cut&paste answer pretending to be helpful but nothing changes. Please either change your advertised times or let people in to use your services with a welcoming face!! On the positive side it is clean and dryers work well.

Hello and a warning to anyone planning to use the services of The Oakwood Launderette. I had a horrible and not so pleasant service unfortunately, and I can count the times I've officially complained about a service/brand on my fingers. I have lived 6 years in the area, but never have had to use a launderette before, anyway I called at 5.20pm to ask if I can put on couple of washes. I was told it's late as theclose at 7pm but the lady (Lydia) said its fine if I can get there for 5.30pm. So I went as advised and again to point out as a person whos neber been at a launderette you'd expect some guidance. Instead I was rushed throughout the process, asked to load the washes really quickly, that was fine but I also did not realise I could only pay with coins so then the lady at that point did kindly offer to pay with her own money whilst I go to draw out some. When I came back to pay, she said to come back at 6.30pm after they've dried - so in total I paid for 2 x £6.40 washes (inc soap) and 2 x £5 for the drying which came to a total of £26. All of this was fine, I thanked the lady collected my stuff and went, but left the wash duvet and clothes in my car thinking it would be ok as I've paid for them to dry.

The next day went in my car to get a wift of a horrible damp smell to then realise the duvet hadn't been fully dried. So went back to the launderette to ask for it to be rewashed and dried as for £26 clearly this was not done and I'd have to rewash it myself. I kept getting told that its my fault as I came in too late (even though Lydia told me its fine) I was told that I basically got away with not paying for the service anx made to feel that I got off lightly. I was not told there's an additional charge got told the amount and I paid it. Then was told that the lady in question Lydia had told me to air and hang the duvet as its not fully dry (NOT TRUE). I spoke to the lady owner of the launderette to find she basically repeated what I got told by the other unhelpful staff member, found her quite rude and trying to turn it onto me saying its my fault the duvet wasnt dried and now needs rewashing. I have worked in retail for many years and I've learnt that when a customer is this unhappy there is an issue and something should be done to fix it. Nothing was done, rude staff, rude owner, bad service and very disappointing from an independent business in today's world, where customer loyalty and service is such a big thing.

To sum it up I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I w

AVOID ABSOLUTELY RUDE GO TO CHASE SIDE IN ENFIELD INSTEAD MUCH BETTER SERVICE!.

1 star is too generous! Went to take a bag of items for a service wash as was emergency situation, quilt some other bits etc. As soon as I walked in the lady was so rude looked me up and down and I advised I would like a serviced wash to which she replied can’t you do it yourself!. Well no I’m working it’s my lunch break and I wouldn’t be asking for a serviced wash if I could do it myself.

Asked the price and she said well until I know what you have I don’t know so I told her quilt, bedding and 2 cat beds. You only have one in your hand. The other is in the bag. So you haven’t even sorted the washing, no but I have colour catchers so just put it in 1 if you can that’s fine!. Well I need a £10 deposit for this ok fine no problem but then walked over and promptly said to the customer I was a JOKE! Yes she said it in front of me out loud. Fabulous customer service that was that no way was I staying in this rude place!.

I then said well if I’m such a joke I will happily take my business elsewhere which I did and got far better and friendlier service at Chase Side Launderette.

She was getting attitude for me asking to do her job! And to help. Honestly wish I could have spoken to a manager!. Don’t go here go to Enfield and if you do come here if a small Greek looking lady with churlish hair is present don’t expect to get a friendly welcome as she is damn right rude!

If you are going there for just to try, that's fine but washing and drying is a nightmare with £10 your clothes are not still dry. Good luck 😥

Excellent launderette. I hadn't visited a launderette in a very long time and was unsure what the protocol was. Eve was sinking in bags of washing but still took the time to attend to me and I was most grateful. The price is reasonable. The dry cleaners were going to charge me £30 for an item that was laundered here for £14 and I am really pleased with the result. In fact I've taken two bulky items there and I am satisfied with the
price and the washing. I will certainly be going back again. The place is very clean too.
