Philip Launderette

Philip Launderette is truly wonderful place:
After my home machine broke down 3 weeks ago, I was greeted and warmly advised last Friday by the helpful Roy when I enquired about prices + other matters. This was the exact opposite of the surly and objectionable treatment from the horrid man at 'Star Launderette' further along the same road a few minutes earlier, who should not be allowed to interact with any people, let alone potential customers!

Then, today I arrived at Philip Launderette with 2 huge bags of laundry + was blessed to again be greeted warmly, and guided in my first time here by Denise: putting in my coins (as I always get flustered by/clumsy doing such things in public), helping to measure out my laundry liquid, advising on the wash-cycles, and monitoring the dryers/adding coins when needed.

I used 4 small washing machines @ £4 each, and then 4 drying machines (dark + white clothes, sheets, and towels). The total cost was a very reasonable £26. In all, it was actually quicker and easier than my home washer-dryer, because the big size of these commercial machines cuts the complete job of washing and drying multiple loads down to only a couple of hours.

I'm very impressed by this wife + husband team: they truly understand what REAL customer service and customer care means. The lovely Denise even found out for me the closing time of the store I intended to visit on my next errand. Roy, her husband-helper at this family-run spot, had also kindly shared with her my request in advance to be helped with change/coinage and in using the machines when I enquired two days earlier.

Denise said - due to the police "incident" closing off the street - I came on a rare quiet Sunday, enabling easy access to all the machines I needed at the same time. Thank God it was unusually quiet for the lower Covid risk too.

From my experience today, and how she interacted with the 6 customers that came in during my short time, I have the feeling that Denise attracts many loyal customers. And, my guess is that she would be a just as delightful whether it was as busy as normal or quiet enough to oversee novices like me.

Thank you Denise + Roy for making a potential ordeal into almost a pleasure (it was still laundry + not leisure after all 😊).

AMAZING AND LOVELY LAUNDROMAT!! I went there with my mum today I had a great experience! We didn’t know that 5:30 was their last wash and got there 5:33 but Denise still let us wash which was nice! I brought a lot of clothes with me as our washing machine is as broken. I was a bit unprepared but Denise helped me load my clothes with the right colours and got them started in no time!! AND SHE HAD CHANGE😫I’ve been to a few laundrettes and not been provided with change but she sorted me out!
Shoutout to Roy - major player in the laundrette game in Tottenham😆 he was super nice and funny and gave us some good tips on dying our clothes efficiently! SHOUTOUT DENISE🙌🏽 honestly she is an incredibly lovely lady🥰sooo helpful and a delight to be around!! They will definitely see me again with a little less washing hopefully😂

Went there for the first time today. The staff member was so lovely, helped me out and even had change.
