Staffords Launderette

No problem here.

It's a laundrette. I've been using them on and off for 25 years. This is one is fine.

I read a lot of the reviews and I really don't understand the volume of negative ones. It seems like people don't know what to expect from a self-service laundromat. However, I was impressed by the prompt, fair and balanced replies from the owners.

Keep up the good work, guys. I'm glad to know you're here any time my domestic washing machine goes down!

I left my bags I used to bring my laundry on side and went to the post office while waiting for the laundry to be dried. A cleaning lady was here seeing me settings up the dryer and leaving the bags on side. On my return, I found that my bags are in the bin. Thank you ever so much.

Great launderette - clean and tidy with easy to use machines.
Washed and dried a couple of duvets - they came out like new.
Supermarket around the corner to buy snacks or washing powder.

Temple of reflection and a place to discover a life long friend. Also washing and drying facilities to circumvent the need to fill your home with suffocating humidity.

I’m a regular customer at this launderette. Today I found this in one of the dryers. Shouldn’t the shop be closed if it’s not safe to operate?

Beware that the opening times here and on their website are wrong! Extremely unprofessional.

I just used Staffords this morning and it was fab!!! Honestly, I was a bit hesitant about going because of the reviews... BUT it was super clean (the space and the machines), everything worked, it's a fair price and there's somewhere to sit :) You can pay on card. It's not manned, but if everything works ok it's totally cool!

Most of these reviews were written years ago, and this might even seem like a fake review, but it isn't! I just wanted them to have a proper rating because it was great for what I needed!!

Not used a launderette in years but came here after mine broke down, checked that I could pay by card beforehand so that was great, but was absolutely amazed that my wash was done in less than half an hour! I was expecting a long wait, but could just drop my washing in before taking my daughter to school, pick it up after, and still get to work on time! Clothes smelled great too (even though the detergent was the same!). Simply wonderful, so quick and easy to use, happy to know that there’s a simple solution should my washing machine go down again.

Since the price increase it’s become way too expensive. I understand there are Covid rules in place but having to stand outside in -2 degrees while the laundrette is completely empty is ridiculous given the amount I paid to wash & dry.
