We used Alcocks Solicitors as our conveyancer for buying our first house. They were extremely helpful and put us at ease with the whole process which was fairly daunting. Jo was absolutely fantastic, always available and willing to help. Alcocks were the cheapest quote we found and they met our every need and then some! We would 100% use again, however we are extremely happy with our new home, largely down to Jo and the team!

Harriet Hawkins provided outstanding service on the sale of our property. It was a complex assignment because the deeds had not been updated for expansion of the property boundary. Ms Hawkins worked very efficiently with the land registry to update the deeds and complete the sale on time. The fees were very reasonable. despite the extra work involved. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough and would look nowhere else for assistance in the future.

The worst company myself and husband used, we were recommended by the estate agents because they were the cheapest! And our normal solicitors were busy from the pandemic, catching up on house sales. I wish I'd spent more on a solicitor than going with these the time it took and my sainty wasn't worth the amount saved. Pick a solicitor that doesn't blame their colleagues for lack of communication between each other.
I spent more time doing all the work myself! And spending endless time ringing them and chasing them for an update.

Lack of communication from Ryan and Harriet Hawkins sadly, it took over 5 months for the final results and our buyers very nearly pulling out because of how slow they were being.
They lack experience it seems of selling New-build homes, and dealing with the help to buy scheme.
Ryan just told me to call a number he didn't have and then started huffing about googling it?! Whilst he was on the phone to me.
I had to chase the company up even though Ryan said they won't talk to you because it's only us they can/will?! That day I'd chase everything up and had done more work than they had in the last 3 weeks!
I felt they were unprofessional throughout Ryan telling me he'd only just been passed our file when he'd had it for over three months at that point.

I told our agents who we had sold with to never recommend them to anyone else and to take them off their list of recommendations, my estate agents also had to do many follow-ups and felt the lack of communication also.

Cannot recommend Alcocks Solicitors enough! They were brilliant. With fantastic communication and prompt acting on any set backs we were able too sell and purchase our new property fairly quickly.

I would 100% use them again.

I would recommend Alcocks Solicitors every time. This is the fourth time I have used them for sale and house purchases. Nothing is too much trouble and their communication is very prompt either via email or telephone. Also I think they are very reasonably priced. May I please thank all the team there
