Review of property purchase case - we’ve found F&K extremely slow in responding to queries raised by other solicitor firms, and even discovered by their own clients that some emails haven’t even been looked at until we have chased them at least 2 times. Note that the email arrived at their inbox 15 days until we started chasing. Terrible time management and general discipline around client service! One of the biggest estate agents in Sevenoaks even agrees with this opinion, which should say something about this firm. This opinion is also shared by their own client - so we hope they will give them this feedback!

Agree with previous post - we hired this law firm roughly 1 year ago and had the same issues. We regret not raising this with them directly as it was a very stressful and painful process. Their attention to detail and speed in response is bad.

We had Elizabeth appointed to us for the conveyancing for our house purchase and sale (completed July 2020). Elizabeth was extremely thorough in her work, clear and concise in her communication, readily available on phone and email and friendly and helpful throughout. There was not one single mistake or typo made anywhere throughout the process and we feel our case was in the best possible hands with her. We would highly recommend Elizabeth for your conveyancing or other legal needs.
The only thing that would have improved the service would be to have online documentation signing capabilities as I know some other firms have, since there is a lot of form filling & scanning involved, at least in the house purchase process (not so great if you have an unreliable printer as we do!).

We are extremely grateful for Damien Jones’ professionalism in helping us to understand what was required for our Wills as we needed to include a Trust, set up for our son who is Autistic with learning difficulties. It is a huge relief to know we have safely prepared the future for both our daughter and our son when we can no longer be there for them. The whole procedure was organised swiftly and safely by the receptionist and Damien’s Secretary, to ensure we were able to complete our Wills during the Covid restrictions. All phone calls and signing of the Wills were carried out with great professionalism, care and helpful manner.
We were also in awe of the building when safely sitting in the room to sign our Wills. The whole procedure was a pleasure. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Damien.

Excellent and professional service received from Felicity and Daniella at K&F when I bought and sold our properties. Would definitely use again and recommend. Thank-you.

DO NOT USE Knocker and Foskett

Incompetent and negligent solicitor Gurmak Sighn who did not conduct proper due diligence. The entire exchange process was completely rushed and sloppy by the careless works of solicitor Gurmak Singh.
As a result, I’m now faced with a whole host of liabilities for this property. After purchasing a flat in October 2020 I was served a Section 20 just 5 weeks after completing in the region of £9k.

To add insult to injury, I also discovered shortly after moving in, that planning permission had been approved a few years prior to build 4 flats directly overlooking my flat on the same freehold land. None of this was ever brought up before exchange and when I raised a complaint into this matter, James Pearson responded with unsubstantiated lies ! He stated that they raised the matter in relation to the planning permission and that I didn’t ask for them to investigate it further!?

Had this been flagged to me, I clearly would have asked for it to be investigated further and it’s unlikely I would have even purchased the property. It is clear that they did not conduct sufficient due diligence and I will be looking to take this matter further through the courts and update my review accordingly with the final resolution.
