My mum a 74yr old lady, rang about an equity release case which you declined to take, but that was not the issue, it was the way your colleague spoke to her on the phone. She was very rude which upset my mum. It was very unprofessional.

Have used them twice to certify documents.
Always fast and efficient. Very friendly for both times.
Will definitely recommend if you need documents certified

These solicitors are the slowest solicitors I have ever had to deal with. We are in a chain at the moment and they are just not replying to my solicitors enquiries, someone is going on annual leave and there will be no cover. In my opinion this is unacceptable

Got the job done eventually, but overall wished I’d never recommended them to anyone else, and will not use forward.

Used this company 3 times personally, lease extension, sale of a property, then a combined sale/ purchase. Shout out to the hard working and committed staff - Vicky, Sam D, Sam C and Mike Brown.

Leasehold was as quick and efficient as it could be. But I ended up stepping in to save approx £1500 in over charging from a 3rd party agent.
Flat sale was ok - I wasn’t involved.
Recommended to my in laws - they weren’t overly happy, thought it was their chain.

Last time I bought and sold somewhere it could easily be done in a couple of months - this was pre covid. Now seems the world has shifted and everything takes longer - Brooks would do well to advise their customers this, that’s what we are - customers. We shouldn’t be made to feel like an inconvenience.

The most recent sale/ purchase had numerous issues, and to cut a long story short the communications from Brooks was not up to scratch. Never felt they were on top of things and that things would only progress when chased. Key people dealing with your case on holiday? Do not expect holiday cover.

Overall everyone knows the system needs a massive shake up, but a couple of recommendations:-
1 - it’s 2022, while you might think work/ life balance is a priority and it should be. The whole office does not need to go on lunch for an hour every day.
2 - apply some basic people and expectation management.
3 - been told that many days the workers are in tears, suggests being over worked and under resourced - maybe you should start taking on less work?
4 - get some continuity between people and cases, numerous times I had to correct bad information, and chase for updates on their actions/ communications/ dates etc
5- Hoowla system. It was never up to date. If you’re going to use a case management system and open it to your clients it should be up to date.
6 - cut through the legal patter and “we can only do so much”.

Thanks again to The Sams, and Vicky - but you deserve better support and resource around you.

Wish we never used the company, been strung along for months with no communication trying to purchase a house only to be told yesterday that the company is closing and they can’t do anything for us, complete waste of our time !

Couldn't ask for anything more from a solicitor. We required a commercial solicitor and chose a local one in Camberley for our office move. Mike Brown has been responsive, polite and prompt throughout the process, despite COVID's impact. Brooks and Partners have been great value when compared with some other local solicitors and offered a fixed price to review our commercial lease and act as our agent. Always a quick reply to emails, easily available on the phone and even though our Landlord's solicitor was very slow and often missing key information, Mike remained on top of it to ensure we could get to completion as soon as possible. Highly recommended and will definitely be using again in the future when needed. Thanks a lot!

Thankfully the cause of the unprofessionalism and quite frankly incredible rudeness has left the company, although they didn't mention it when I spoke to them the afternoon before.
An incredibly stressful time was made worse by poor advice or lack of proper engagement or explanation as to what certain forms were and what they meant. Certain things happened that I now realise that person should have stated in their professional capacity were not advisable - but said nothing. Other conveyancers explain everything they do and go out of their way to resolve any issues.
I actually ended up chasing some enquiries myself due to a complete unwillingness to chase anything.
Did not earn their fee, not recommended.

Arrogant and completely lacking in the concept of customer service. Basically, they treat people as if they were is some way better than any ordinary guy. Avoid. There are much more pleasant and knowledgeable solicitors easily found on google .
